END OF MESSAGE

Hey guys,

I just wanted to make a note about some of the increasingly rude phone calls that I have gotten lately. I hate to even mention this, because I'm sure most of you are extremely polite on the phone, but it seems that some don't understand basic social etiquette.

I always answer my phone with a pleasant and cheerful "Hello!" and expect, at the very least, the person on the other end to greet me as well, and identify themselves by name. That's how it works in real life, right??

When the potential client on the other end doesn't bother to greet me, and instead barks at me immediately, "WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?" or "WHAT IS YOUR RATE?", I can't help but be taken aback at their rudeness.

First of all, this information is CLEARLY stated on my website - anyone who took a three-second glance would be able to see it. I am not necessarily opposed to stating these things on the phone, but I have to wonder why I even put the time and effort into having a website if so many potential clients refuse to peruse it.

Second of all, escorts are human beings! We are not gas stations, robots, or blow-up dolls. We understand that you are busy... but even the busiest people can make time to be polite on the phone. Saying "Hello ____, this is _____, how are you doing today?" takes five seconds, and I promise your escort will be much more pleasant to deal with than if you bark questions at her like she is an automatic information machine!

Many girls publish their numbers because they feel they would lose out on a lot of business if they didn't (I am one of them). Having a girl's direct number is a privilege that shouldn't be taken for granted.

Don't forget what the Beatles said.... "The love you take is equal to the love you make!"

:)
Remy

I can't imagine any business person giving the time of day to someone who acts like that on the phone.

When deciding you would like to call or email a lady, please make sure you are truly ready to meet her.

I understand some of you get cold feet and back out. But after a few times of scheduling with a provider and canceling (even with advanced notice), you may end up on her DNS list and will likely develop a bad reputation as a time-waster.

Please do not call or email the provider informing her that your calls are now going unanswered. She is aware, as she is the one not answering them.;)

Just remember: Only contact a provider if and when you are serious about meeting to avoid being labeled a time-waster.

Common courtesy is rewarded.

Thanks!

Assuming one has been courteous and diligent about following a providers required procedures (e.g. made initial contact via email, provided references, provider confirmed refs, schedule and that they would like to proceed and set something up via phone, etc...) what is a reasonable amount of time to wait for a reply to a call that went to her voicemail?

In a case such as this one where the provider has no reason to believe I am a time waster and I am not trying to set something up last minute is it reasonable to expect a return call or message within say 24hrs or less?

I ask mainly because I am fairly new and want make sure my own behaviors and expectations are reasonable but I am also curious if a prospective client who makes a genuine effort to go above and beyond with regards to etiquette can expect a reciprocal effort from the provider by distinguishing themselves from the type of bozos mentioned in Remy's original post?

Thanks!

I don't know that all hobbyists have a hobby phone, so, in an effort to be discreet, I only return voice mails when a hobbyists leaves a voicemail that includes his name, phone number, and best time to reach him, and some type of time guideline (within 24 hrs, etc)

For instance, some of my family and friends live in the sticks and their home is out of my cell phones service area.  If I am visiting them for the weekend, it could be 3 days before I get your message.  I don't feel comfortable calling you that far after the fact UNLESS you have said in your message, "I have a private voice mail, please call me back any time when you get this message"  or " only call me if you get this message by 3 pm on Saturday".  This is most helpful to me.  It gives me a guideline to go by.

Hope that helps,
Hugs, Belinda

If you leave a voicemail and don't hear back within 24-48 hours, definitely try to call again.

What you SHOULDN'T do, however, is call obsessively (10-20 times a day) until she answers. That's a good way to get a girl to block your number. :)

I know I will be blasted as a "white knight" but I am not ashamed of that either.  Just because donations are involved it does not give people the right to be discourteous, inconsiderate or down right rude.  Without exception the ladies I have had the privelage to meet deserve all the respect and consideration one can give.  Remy's post and the other comments should give guys a good heads up if they want a chance to meet some of the nicest people and maybe even get to enjoy their company.  I am in the service business and life is way to short to deal with these kind of people.  It does not cost a penny to be considerate...rewards can be priceless!

While I understand that ladies get a lot of frivolous calls from guys, its completely unrealistic to think that a guy is going to call and simply make an appointment based purely on your ad.  I for one am always seriously interested in the sense that I am definitely going to book a date with someone on a specific day, but when I call someone i have not met before I am also calling to help validate my feelings about the accuracy of an ad.  I will typically ask if the photos are accurate and also learn about the general location of her incall, how she dresses for an appointment and ask about her availability on the day I am planning for.  Many times the answers to these questions and the tone of her voice, other voices in the background, and general attitude on the phone may turn me off even though I had genuine intentions when calling.

I have called ladies who are very abrupt when asking about a future day and VERY frequently get an abrupt response, if not a downright hangup, such as "call me back that day an hour before you are ready to see me".  Translation: "I'm basically one notch up from a street hooker and you gotta catch me when I am working and not busy at the time".  Totally not interested in that sort of lady.

So it works both ways is my point.  If someone goes to the trouble of creating a web-site or putting out an ad on backpage or EROS, how damn much trouble is it to write a phone number, date, and time down to reserve an appointment.  We all expect to have to reconfirm an hour before but at least we know we are good to go without having to call a dozen numbers that day to find someone available.

I know I am newer and I read all of these and nodded at most. For me I like advance bookings with of course confirmation the of but I have to say depending on the day sometimes I am probably more abrupt on the phone I think because I hate when people try to get an exact location from me when they are still making a decision. I will gladly let you know the area for to calculate drive time and if it will fit your schedule but please don't ask the hotel name until you are about to come see me.

What I have run into a couple times now is people prebooking then when they call at their confirmed time their language is slurred and they want to chat the whole way over, I won't see anyone who is this drunk.  I understand having a few cocktails before meeting but please don't overinduldge.

Unfortunately, I get calls like that all the time.  Guys see my ad, get my number, and call.  They want an appointment right now so could I give them my address?  They don't introduce themselves, balk at the suggestion of sending an email, and seem genuinely surprised to learn that right now I'm at the grocery store and sweaty from the gym, not in a lace teddy waiting for them.

In the last week I've had at least 3 appts that were scheduled same day and canceled via email half an hour before the session was supposed to start.  So there I am at my incall, without my computer waiting for them to show.  It's frustrating.

(/end rant)

Don't you know that we are ALWAYS supposed to be in our bedroom finest, masturbating and waiting eagerly by the phone for our suitors to call?!?!?! Personally I wear my thigh highs to bed too.... and full makeup... and stilettos.... just so I'm ready when I get one of those darling drunken pizza calls at 3am! ;)

Oh those are funny!  Drinking and dialing indeed!

One thing though - there's always a point in the email exchange were picking up the phone is a good idea.  When I ask that my emailer pick up the phone it's an invitation to take the next step, and I find it equally frustrating when they don't.  A few weeks ago I had a train wreck of an email exchange that would have been averted had the guy called as I asked.  He never gave me his number so I couldn't call him.  And it was one of those times when electronic communication failed to deliver the tone, which was more gentle than my poorly chosen words suggested.  I still wish he'd call.

While I am new to this site, I am not new to the hobby, so hello everyone.

Recently, I had set up an appointment with Allyssa, who goes back & forth between Bloomington & Chicago.

She seemed distracted (almost seemed to be bothered) on the phone even though I was trying to be cheerful.  We set up a time & told me to call her when I was near.

I called a few minutes before the appointment & she seemed somewhat bothered again. Then she asked me what model car I drove.  She would call me back in 5 minutes w/room #.

She never called back & didn't pick up after I had sat there in the lot for 20 minutes.

I want to show respect for the provider, not ask too many questions, be flexible schedule-wise & so on but time wasters can be from both sides.

Providers, if you think someone is LE (which she may have thought - I dunno) would you have them show up?  Your input would be appreciated.

Other women have voiced the same lament.  Perhaps it's just our social decline in general.  Anyway, the concern and intelligence in your posting make me hope that I can meet you.
