My provider says she is increasing her rate because 'everyone' has increased her rate.

Data:
     Escort, Sex,
Independent (I excluded Agency and With Driver)
     Not-TS.
60 Minutes, escort only,  This does not include any massage only providers although the reviews of some of these include escort type services.
     Within the past 12 months.

A few out of town visitors are included because they show up on the Minneapolis screen.

250   7  providers
300  27 providers
350  21 providers
400  10 providers

There are not enough TER providers to stratify by scores, age, race, etc.
I did not sort by in/out call.
Interval numbers, e.g., 375 were not looked at.

Never bargain with a provider.  Her rates are her own business.

I have had several clients tell me that I could and should charge much more than I do.... but I am not really sure I want to.  Would I be perceived as "better" if I charged more?  (I receive $250 an hour, $300 when I travel and also when I drive more than one hour for an out call).  Would I get more "higher end" clients?  I really enjoy my job, and I really enjoy the gentleman that I see.  I would also never want anyone to go broke seeing me. (And yes, I give frequent flyer discounts!)   And let's be honest....I have one or two appointments a day.....I make more per hour than many, many people with very stressful jobs that work many long hours.  I am on the low end of prices....I guess..... but I live a very comfortable and happy life.   :)

Tell the ones that say you should charge more to step up their donation to what they think you should
be charging.  You will kindly  accept voluntarily.

Now if they enjoy the benefits of discount, well of course  they may not be all in on idea.

You go against the grain , by speaking  up, but obviously secure enough to  take the risk.   Do what's  right for YOUR situation not someone elses.

That is always up to providers to decide on individual basis.  After all as everyone says , their business right?

I strongly encourage those of you that identify as a "client" to NOT open up negotiations unless the provider initiates this topic.

If it’s out of my range ... so be it. Or I stretch it out a bit longer between dates. Many visiting  providers notched up their rates during Super Bowl and raised the bar. Let’s hope it all settles down. For those that held the line on rates during Super bowl ... thank you!

I would not be honest if I suggested rates don't matter. They matter!! Great subject BTW
I may go high end a few times a year if a stunner comes rolling thru.

... puts her in the top 8% to 10% of all wage earners in the U.S. This means that she makes significantly more than almost every man who plays at this level of actively participating TER mongers. Even more mind boggling is that she is in the most elitist top 1% of wage earners world wide! Good for her! I want to see sexy women succeed financially as it can only attract more high quality women to the field.

I would like to see more women raise their rates at smaller increments yet more frequently than to see a huge rate increase at once like is seen in markets like Las Vegas, San Francisco, New York City. Providers often raise their hourly rates by increments of $50 to $100/ hour in those markets. A Las Vegas provider who raises her rate from $500 to $600/hr is a 20% rate increase! Outstanding but things seem to get a little out of hand when I note that there are many 'average' looking Vegas providers asking $600/hr. (note: I believe that an average provider is way, way more attractive that an average civilian woman). I don't get 20% raises and even if it had been 4 years since my last raise, a 20% raise would be unthinkable. However, I don't see much rate inflation in the Twin Cities market but smaller increases wouldn't be unjustified. I note that markets like Dallas, Houston, Atlanta offer some of the most outstanding values for quality women than many other large markets. I keep a keen eye on rate trends and I'm pretty aware of what should be a normal rate range for a particular market and based on where a provider might be worthy of her asking rate. Everyone deserves regular rate increases.

I have limits beyond which I typically won't spend.  I suspect that is true for other gents.  Therefore as you raise rates (relative to other providers) I would expect the frequency of your calls to go down.  However if this is not true, then why work for less than you can get.

I would cue off agency rates, such as K-girls.  They try to make the most buck they can.  They're rates are usually on the low end, but not the lowest.   I believe this guarantees high frequency of calls.   Super high rates likely means infrequent calls.  You may get paid more per hour, but a lot fewer sessions, so your net income might actually decline if you raise rates too high.

And it is very likely that any such rates are lower than they actually are so if anything the average is probably a bit higher.

I'm not interested in negotiating with them.  If I end up seeing her, I'd just as soon not have her be annoyed by bargaining.  If her rate is too high for me, I simply don't make contact.

I have noticed rates have been generally rising here in recent years and it's priced a few providers I was interested in seeing beyond what I'm willing to pay.  So it goes.

After twice seeing providers where the posted rate was lower than the actual (updated) rate, I always ask in advance what is the rate.  I have also e-mailed a recent reviewer to ask what rate he paid.  Sometimes the differences are fairly large.  Does TER not update the rate when a review comes in or ???

There is an old saying and it goes something like this. The cure for low prices is low prices and the cure for high prices is high prices. The meaning of that is low prices drive more consumption making a higher price feasible and a higher price cuts down consumption in theory resulting in a lower price to do business. Simple economics but doesn't always work that way.

No, TER Doesn't update anything that I can see including service. Most date back to the first review .
Which makes the search function useless. I believe the provider is responsible for updating thinks such as pricing and services and if this isn't accurate please correct me . I would like to know.

I do not think anywhere near the majority of providers on TER know that with a simple problem report they can get their rate adjusted to what is current
They do have to be linked to their account
They never were updated by the rates that clients say they paid in their review submittal afternthe first review.

Yes, this is correct.  I think it is populated by the first review but then any corrections/updates have to be requested by the provider.  Things that are listed as "don't know" can also be updated by the provider if it was mentioned in a review.

Yaaaasssss! I despise this idea that your rate determines your worth. Don’t get me wrong... I used to think that when I was brand new (like one month in). Now? Who TF cares? Maybe petty folks. But we don’t want to mess with them. I know colleagues at $1200/hr and $350/hr and you know what? I don’t give a fuck what your rate is as long as you’re a good person with good energy. Then if something bad happens, like slow season, I’m happy to help out. If you’re rude & uncouth, bye! We all have to do what’s best for us. For me, I have my rate set to what it is because I have a safety net, I’m a niche for the area, & I don’t want to work much (although I love the escape of being LJ, I also recognize my civilian job is 60+HR work weeks). However like you, I also give incentives to great & consistent clientele.

FYI: that notion is so refreshing. I’d love to grab drinks before I go on hiatus (plastic surgery yay!!!) or after surgery before I relocate to my favourite American city: D.C.

Incentive  receivers  that is most likely the crowd  really loves idea of rate increases.

How many of them are willing to give them up?  I am willing to bet the party  line is "you are worth  every penny you ask but I'm  fucking out of here."

And yes that is based  in facts   of what has happened to hooker friends.

Girls do know how to update there profile and change there rates because very recently a girl (who isn't around much) just changer her rate from 200 to 350 an hour. Sadly due to that very high rate change I will probably cross her off my list.

Well if she made a 150.00 jump all at once , that may be a tough  sell, but if the sister  hood packs up on increases well you fuckers better learn the art of negotiating or walking  on by

And there sure as fuck better be increase in service , unless she was  seriously low end to start with.

Only sometimes.  Anyone can submit a problem report to update incorrect information but there are some fields where TER defers to what the provider wants.  I don't know which fields belong in which category.
