im going to be seeing my ATF in shakopee in a couple weeks. i drive in from out of town so i dont know the area real well. (i also go over to canterbury park to play poker). anyway we are also going to go out to dinner, i was thinking of applebee's or similar places or maybe  Mystic Lake casino. but i also wonder if there is a good pizza place in the area? i like a medium to thin crust pizza, not pan or deep dish. any ideas?

I'm not sure if you'd necessarily want to bring your 'date' there, as it's pretty casual, but it's GREAT pizza.  Thin crust.  They have a big woodburning oven that cooks your pizza in 90 seconds.  Nice and crisp.  I eat there all the time.  Great salads too.  I'm not trying to shill for the place, but it's damn good.  It's over by the Eden Prairie shopping center, not far from Shakopee.  There's also a 'Green Mill' pizza right over by it, but they're mainly deep dish.  GM is a more 'Applebees' type of environment, so that might suit your idea for a date better.  I Don't know if that helps, but I don't know Shakopee very well.

Dangerfield's is a nice place.  Good ambience that allows for casual or dressier dining.  Though they may have pizza on the menu, it is not a pizza place.  It has a nice view of the river, and is easy to find, being right off Co. 17 and Co. 101.
