If one does a Search for "massage" (only), it seems to be that MN has far more of that going on than anywhere else in the country, including larger states such as CA, NY, TX, and FL.  Perhaps for than those four combined.  Am I right, and if so, why?

... In cold weather like we get in Minnesnowta much of the year, I mean!  

Or maybe it's the Swedish heritage of many Minnesotans (Swedish massage).  

Or we could turn to the experts at Minnesota's own Mayo Clinic for the benefits of massage... including this one, the last part of which I found very interesting considering the source:

"Beyond the benefits for specific conditions or diseases, some people enjoy massage because it often involves caring, comfort, a sense of empowerment and creating deep connections with their massage therapist."

We don't take sex so literally and we don't want to miss out on the sensual!; and more-so, even focus on it.

That's my best guess.    

Also, maybe the financial side of it... maybe Minnesotans will give up FS for more hours of play?  I do know we cost less than many larger metro areas and maybe we're more frugal as we save up our pennies to head south for the winter?    

Maybe because it is so cold up here in the winter,... we needs our muscles warmed up more than the rest of the country?

Or maybe we found a secret to stronger orgasms through other techniques and we're onto something!?

All conjecture.  Let's see what everyone else thinks!

Hmmmmmmm I'd be curious to know how many women really want massage enough to pay for it.  I'd guess they like someone paying to give them one!

In all my times(30 years worth) at a legit massage place only 1 time have I seen a lady leaving from getting a massage!  I will concede that many ladies that do get one get one at a beauty spa not a massage place, meaning it is part of a package deal, so again not necessarily are the ladies getting the massage because it is the first priority.  I would also imagine ladies getting one at a chiropractors offices based on injury and insurance paying for it, but i do not consider that the same as wanting them and paying for them.

Maybe I am wrong and more ladies pay for them than I think.

It seems to me more often than not more of them are for non-FS provders, sometimes by a very lopsided margin.  I don't have any idea why though.

In fact, my go-to massage therapist was recommended to me by a female friend, who sees that therapist as often as she can. Over my 30 years of massages I've seen many women coming and going from legit massage establishments.  

Of course, it's great if you can get a massage for free, or better yet have someone pay you to give you a massage!  Who wouldn't like that?  "It's a great gig if you can get it."  

But like Élan said, giving massage is fun too. And when it's understood to not be "just a massage", it can be a great lead in to other fun activities.  

My mom and I would trade info on the newest ones in the little town where I grew up, she raved about one who claimed to have physic abilities & did tell my mom she should see the doctor about something she sensed- and sure enough my mom had to have her gallbladder removed right away....I never met the massage medium though  lol
   
  But I've seen more than a couple in my life, though I admit as a very young mom on a budget often times I felt too guilty for this kind of indulgent stuff, but as I got wiser I know I deserved it...... ( nowadays it's still put off too often)  

I've had hot stone, deep tissue and Swedish modalities & I keep craving the deep tissue, because I'm usually so knotty  
Anyway I've always wanted to try reflexology that's purely work on feet.
 Have any of you had that before?
 Also I've heard that somewhere a place had tiny women that would rub with their feet, anyone ever have that?

If you omit the ones who have 5 reviews or fewer, the ladies who generally have no  massage skills other than giving sensual body rub with a nude or topless HJ, then how many true massage therapists are left?

Of course there are some with legitimate massage training and skills, Violet being one of the more well known ones.

I'm not saying that there aren't many ladies who have skills at exciting men and giving good extras but the recent gluttony of the nude/topless "massage" therapist does not put MN in the top category for massages in my opinion. This is just a niche market here that other states don't have so much.

I believe California and Florida have way more than we do,  
Minnesota doesn't have a statewide licensure yet so it's fairly easy for anyone to get started in that field whether they're into sensual or strictly therapeutic so the market is seemingly flooded .
Maybe that's what happened to all the cooks in the upper Midwest ? Because now, that feild has become a more well paying one and there's a shortage.
They all became yoga instructors and massage therapists hahahahaha.
* I mentioned that because it's pretty much a name your price market here for good cooks and if anyone had any sense they'd go into that rather than enter an already exploded industry .

I was traveling for work and had to spend a few days in Billings, MT...I had been driving for 11 hours and had one of those knots in my neck where you can barely turn your head and felt like a knife blade was being twisted in my neck...

As I am pulling into town, in a little strip mall I saw a plastic banner over a door that said...Asian Massage...Just opened...So I wheel in there and a Chinese woman in her late 30's with very poor English said "You need Massage?"  So I go into great detail about my stiff neck...brings into the massage room...

She says "you get naked now"...I thought that was a little strange because it was my NECK that needed the work...so am laying face down and she starts working on my neck...feels great.

Then she starts working her way down my back, feels good, but it is my neck that really needed the work...she starts really rubbing my ass and brushing my balls every so often...I think this is strange, but she must know what she is doing...

Then she says..."you flip now"...once again I thing this strange...but hey, I do what she says...
After about 30 seconds she grabs my dick with one hand and my balls with her other hand and get hard immediately...this absolutely surprised the shit out of me...I pick up head up to look at her...she looks at me and says...."you NO like???"...My response was..."me like...me like"...so I proceed to get a HJ...then she stops and puts on a rubber glove...in my head I am wondering what the hell is that for?

So...I walked in for a therapeutic massage and ended up with the MOST therapeutic massage EVER...this actually got me started in the hobby...

This hick from the Iron Range learned the importance of Massage Providers...we are truly blessed in the Twin Cities to have so many fine ladies providing this necessary service...and thanks to all the great hobbyist reviews...we can find those providers that give that sensual experience that I truly appreciate and enjoy beyond belief...(see moniker)...

If you are left to wondering why massage is so popular you might have the temperament that is satisfied with just FS

Reviewed massage providers were few and far between.  Why the ratio is switched now is a mystery to me.
