I gather BP is now splitting up into two and is being sold off.  What is not clear is how will it affect BP as we now know it??  Will it still exist and in what way??

Even if "they" manage to get BP's escort ads taken down, it will move somewhere else just like it moved to BP when "they" harassed Craigslist.  I suspect most of the ads will eventually end up on a site outside the US whose owners won't care what American politicians say.

This just helps insulate the Backpage cash cow from the boycotting pressure being exerted by the VV advertisers.

Even if they do shut it down, a similar forum will end up somewhere; even if it is outside the US.

I also suspect they seperated from the other business units to protect themselves from liabilities.
