Lately I have been encountering Bad Attitudes:
1. Speak to a provider, and she is awfully rude on the phone: Really, why would I pay someone to be abusive to me?
2. I call a provider, her voicemail box is full: Oh my, business is so good, there is no need to be nice.
3. I emailed a sensual body rub provider about availability: Her email reply stated she was not available, and she makes no apologies for not being available 24/7. Huh?
Only in MSP, where demand is way higher than supply can providers get away with bad attitudes.
Lets start a Rant about bad provider attitudes
ems are harder to come by and the mediocre experience of people leaves much left to be desired. Yes, that is why we are here, to slake our thirsts of desire with something that truly quenches. Gems come out of adversity and pressure and making the harder choices, not the easy and lazy choices. Being class and finding class requires us to hunt and requires us to use all of our wiles and what we've learned thus far to spot the good ones, to find the gems worth digging for and once found.... to savor them even more. This hobby is no exception... A few hundred dollars is no guarantee of paradise. Luckily, women who sound awful on the phone are saving you time and money unwittingly.
I wish upon you to find a few rare and gorgeous gems to appreciate even more in contrast to the average clueless immature persona leaving her soul even more lonely every time she brushes off what might be a gift of you, any and all of you.

Recall the parable of the merchant in search of fine pearls, who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it. Fortunately, we aren't required to sell all we have to spend some time with the "fine pearls" around us!
I’m sorry to hear about your troubles, but I can’t say I’ve encountered much of that. I use TER VIP status to shop for my companions to ensure compatability and leverage P411 as my primary meathod of first contact. It’s not foolproof, but it certainly weeds out the providers that don’t respect the hobby.
Use this site like you would Angie’s List to find a roofer or a plumber. The good ones get positive reviews pretty quickly!

But in defense of the bitchy providers I've encountered, I do ask for some pretty revolting services, So I expect only about a 1-in-10 close-ratio...
But here's some hints to help you decode those three rants you listed:
1] I find that it's either one extreme or the other, there's a lot of history of sex-abuse as a child among providers, and it comes out in bipolarism "overly reactive or rude / unnaturally nice and overly-accommodating, but rarely a balanced-reply that fits the appropriateness of the conversation...
2] If a provider's voicemail is usually full, it's usually means she has a drug-problem... Trust me on this I KNOW WHAT I"M TALKING ABOUT!!
3] Typically rub-n-tug providers work out of comercial-locations and try to keep more business-like hours. or this is career is just supplemental-income to some other career. What you're experiencing is absolutely normal... (Some massage-girls use different ads and PH#'s and work both as a jerk-off-artist and an escort, and treat the two like going to work at two different jobs with different hours. Many times I've met a girl at a jack-shack and then also had her open the door at an incall night-appointment later in the week or month even though i called a completely different number, from a different ad with different pics in it)
but, your response to your string of bad attitude luck is to have a bad attitude?? Pot calling the kettle black, don't you think?

"I've got plenty of clients, I dont need you" & "I can post or say whatever I want cuz I'm a hot comodity" ...Attitudes are usually deal breakers.
But there was one provider on my local board that was very popular. After reading many of her posts, it seems she barely like men! I I was fascinated. Yeah, twisted. She retired before I got a chance to meet her. Which made sense considering her attitude.
So to each his own I guess.
Just know some of us guys pay attention to that stuff.
And on the bright side at least you found out before you actually made an appointment. But for my part most of the ladies I deal with have good attitudes.
I have been a hobbyist for a little over a year now and I have no idea what you're talking about. All of the experiences I have had have been wonderful. I've had the pleasure of sharing the company of a number of extraordinary and extremely professional ladies; Trinity, Portia, Katherine Astor, Elan and Melissa to name a few. If you're having all of the problems you describe I think you maybe responsible for them.
Hey Bossik, I think you've listed some of the most obvious "gems" compatible for most hobbyists and you've taken the time to approach us all well (from my experience you're exemplary in your approach). I still enjoy looking at your elegant gift to be consumed at some perfect time. I have heard in earnest from the field however that experiences do vary once treading into, especially BP... where it is very much hit or miss, or even TER where a number of men have come to me rather wary and weary.
If I were a man I'd look at this as a grand adventure... I wouldn't just go for the obvious or likely gems... I'd sample some of the worst, the mediocre and the best and look for gems that might not be so obvious and perhaps grow tired like some, perhaps come across something wonderful and unexpected.
Then finally, to have a select treasure box of a few to revisit and find new angles and deepen the sensual journey into new facets of the jewel, contribute to a good cut and hone new talents together. And yes, Bossik, some of the men have an approach that can be too demanding on time, asking for too much before even meeting the first time; cluelessness happens on both sides and mirrors reflect on our weaknesses. Is this the case for our OP or is he in a weary slump? I do get the sense that we have great talents and kindness and a great community overall and I, amongst many, am glad to be in Minnesota in the company of true gentlemen and ladies.
I'm not sure why anyone would knowingly want to see some of the worst providers. Maybe if he's a masochist? But I agree with the idea of seeking out the gems that may not be obvious, and finding something wonderful and unexpected. I've had some wonderful surprises in this "grand adventure". I've also had a few not-so-wonderful surprises... but they were my fault, for not doing sufficient research beforehand. And they weren't terrible experiences at all... just not what I'd expected or hoped for. But I learned a lot from them, met some interesting ladies, and these experiences helped me hone my gem-searching skills until I learned to find those "gems of great value".
I think that we get what we put into relationships... including hobbyist/provider relationships. The Golden Rule definitely applies here. Also empathy... yes, my voice mail has filled up before. But I'm not on drugs. I just get very busy sometimes. 
I've had a couple of NCNSes and a few non-responses to emails. When that's happened, I've learned to move on. There's plenty of providers who are professional and considerate in their dealings with clients.
Very nice response, well spoken. One who can cut to the chase of the issue. Bravo.

What I have found is most providers are smokers, or out-of-shape, or do not enjoy what they are doing(doing it only for the money). In all my years of hobbying, I have repeated with 3 providers: 2 of whom have dissappeared.
I only call/see providers who have 3+ TER reviews.

I haven't seen a FS provider for under $300/hr in over 3 years, so I can't make any recommendations for you other than to try to nudge your price point up. (I also can't recomend a place with $2 a gallon gas, or a reliable new car for under $5,000) Most of the quality FS providers are all settled in at the $350/hr mark (or higher)now. There is reason for that.
I think what we have learned here is that $250 tends to get you unreliable overweight smokers with a bad attitude. (there are obviously exceptions)
The higher price point gets you the likes of Portia, Sheila, and Jillian to name a few.
Oh, and by the way, it's actually option C: A hobbyist who chooses not to review, (but will do the ocational shill) and a brave defender of the slighted provider (or hobbyist).
Play safe
No pun intended.
High quality usually carries with it a commensurate price. You don't see any new $20,000 Mercedes or Cadillacs for sale, for example. Or Porsches. 
To test your assertion, I just did a quick Advanced Search in TER with the following criteria:
* Appearance score between 8 and 10
* Performance score between 8 and 10
* Overall average score between 8 and 10
* Offers FS
* Non-smoker
* Price between 0 and $250 (unfortunately, no way to pin that down by duration)
I did find a handful of providers, who I think are still active, who meet all of these criteria and are right at the $250 price point for an hour. So that's someplace to start. I also found a few providers at $200 for an hour, but I suspect they're inactive due to missing web site URLs and length of time since their last review. But might be worth checking with them. Also, I saw a few providers with 30 minute times advertised, for under $250.
But in general, it's as you said... the quality FS providers will be over that $250 limit, for an hour. With good reason.
Yeah. I haven't done FS yet (working on referrals) but have been scouting. Sub-300 I see a lot of reduced services, bad ratings, or red flags in the review. By red flags I mean unsafe practices (recently read a review where a $200 provider supposedly gave bareback sex), incalls to bad neighborhoods, lack of discretion, erratic reviews that may hint at health problems, etc. Exceptions definitely seem to exist and there seem to be several high quality providers that choose a 250 price point to make up the money in quantity of appointments, but it has gotten to the point where I am crossing off FS providers whose price is too low, taking it as an indicator of a problem, even if I can't see what it is yet.
While I have certainly met a few that are as you describe, most that I see are young, pretty, full of life, enthusiastic, etc... BUT! This is precisely why I mainly see teenagers and girls that are new to the industry and don't have reviews... Because the provider-lifestyle does put more wear and tear on her body and emotional stability than normal...
If you like the new-car-smell, perhaps you should stop buying and driving used taxi cabs...

I would not apologize for that, either. Although I would add to my vacation responder when I would return and when I would be returning all emails/messages. But apologize?
Most of my clients LOVE that I have a life outside the "hobby." As long as they give me enough notice, and we both can be flexible, we always manage to meet. Sometimes one or the other has to wait a bit, but the anticipation can make the meeting even more exciting.
I do not understand why I would have to apologize for having a full, multifaceted life, which makes me a more exciting provider, partner, lover.
On another note, your overall message is about people being rude to one another, and I do not condone that on either side. If you run into that...just move on. There are plenty of reliable providers who treat others politely and with respect.
and that is why I stick to them. They have always been nothing but kind, courteous, and professional.
If someone is rude to you, don't do business with them. It's not personal, it's just business.
Speaking of which, the hobby is a business. I try to conduct myself with the ladies as I do with my own clients and partners. I expect the same from the ladies. If I don't get it, I don't return.

You are calling some agencies? Some of them teach the girls to have "attitude" aka be rude when the guys what to pay less or have questions. The thought behind that is the girls will appear more desirable thus the men will not question when they call back. Hanging up on a client is common practice.
I could not do that and was told many times that I'm "too nice". So I left!
My thought is that the ones who are rude right off the bat care more about getting as much as they can on a one time visit vs repeat business. Hang up and move on ... You probably just saved yourself from upselling and manipulation.
