From what I can tell, I think he's going for "Give a lady $1000, set up 6 appts spaced out over a month or two"

To answer the question, I don't think it's common, but I have heard of it being done by regulars on a monthly basis - like a pay-up-front, buy 3, get the 4th free type of thing.

my answer is I did it once and would never do it again.  My experience was it was harder to book after payment was made and the further into the appointments we got the less effort because the money was spent long ago and her mind was on making money NOW!
