I was recently having a very serious and in-depth conversation with a couple of friend of mine. The subject of this conversation….. Why do dancers pick the songs they do to dance to? Now I’ll admit I’m a music snob. I’m really into alternative and indie music. I’ve never been into heavy metal or hair metal and I know people have different tastes, and that we connect with certain songs a certain way with the beat and the lyrics. I just have never understood why some songs tend to be staples in gentlemen’s clubs. If you had to choose a play list for a dancer what song or songs would you choose?

let's not forget the songwriter--randy newman--even though his version isn't as slinky/funky as joe's

If I lay here, if I just lay here, would you lay with me, and just forget the world.
and another one that the dancers used to love to play and dance to is
The Eagles, Witchy Woman. ( sparks fly from her finger tips ) LOL
Interesting question. Never thought of it, but now that I have, how about:
Helter Skelter (I love Beatles)
All Along the Watchtower (Jimi Hendrix)
