Called Carmen to set-up an appointment and she stated her rates were double what her profile states. Instead of 250, now 500. Can anyone confirm this change as it seems pretty ridiculous. She also mentioned massage was 250.

I meant men who try to negotiate rates, negotiate services, and don't care as much about the provider as they do about the psusy. Which is fine for girls who negotiate and care only about the money, but some girls might want more than that. And instead of seeing 4 guys at 250 an hr she can see 2 at 500 and have less wear and tear on the goods. Just sayin

There are two sides to that equation.  There are also those who advertize one rate, and even suggest its a GFE type service, only to find that there are lots of upsells to get the typical GFE menu.  Advertise the rate you want and stick to it.  I don't have any issue at all with someone raising their rate as long as its done up front and if she can double her rate and achieve her goals, more power to her.  Its a free market.  Just be straight up about it.  I have seen ladies recently, one in particular that was a former associate of yours, advertising a special for $75 on BP in the escort section.  Thats designed to reel in a naive guy and then upsell.  

A guy is not riff-raff if he reads her reviews, sees that the rate as been 250, and then is shocked when it has doubled.  Thats not negotiation.  And most guys do NOT want to negotiate services.  Most professional and experienced providers have a set level of service at a set price and stick to it.  We HATE a-la-cart pricing, with the possible exception of PSE (greek) which can understandably justify extra, but most of those ladies are clear about that up front as well.  If you study the profiles of all the 9/9 to 10/10 providers, they all have fixed, all inclusive rates, with few exceptions.

I think most of us prefer to know even before we place the call what the rates are and if she has doubled her rates, she should advertise that; right now the only rate I can find is in her TER profile.

If the OP verbally told you her price what then is the question. My take is if you can get that 5/hr then by means make that money!

She was one of my first appointments, and she NCNS. Wow, what a slap in the face.
Wont try her again, too many other solid pros out there who wouldnt do that.
I say stay clear of this one.
