I haven't had access to a computer for awhile which explains my delayed response. Has anybody gone to cops about something like this? I'm not too concerned about outing myself - but am concerned about how they're going to react to me contacting her from the body rub section. I did tell her on the phone I was not look for sex.
If I went ahead with it, the toughest part will be finding her I suppose. But I have the ad (Backpage can hopefully track the payment for the ad), her phone number (yes, the previous comment about the phone number did not escape me; and her dna (she literally ran out of her shoe when I was chasing her but I couldn't catch her). She said she had an appointment with her parole officer so she must be 'in the system'.
Is it worth it to try to stop these creeps, or should I just write it off as the cost of doing business, and continue becoming older and wiser?
I wanted to add a question to this - If they try to get me for soliciting, what is the penalty?

...as her ad requested, I left the donation in an envelope and placed it in the hotel room bathroom by the sink. The bathroom was right by the hotel room door. She excused herself to freshen up in the bathroom while I got comfortable on the bed. Next thing I knew I looked up and saw her bolt from the room, slamming the door as she fled. Fuck!!! I jumped into my clothes and checked the bathroom and saw that the money and envelope were gone. I tried to chase her but she had too much of a head start on me. I went back to the room and thought a minute about how I should handle this. An idea popped into my head.....I know what I'll do!! I'll just wait her out. She left her clothes, laptop, cell phone and car keys in the room. She'll HAVE to come back for them, after all...this is HER hotel room! Yup, you guessed it.....she's a blonde!
As far as your question, you wouldn't be very wise to pursue this through the police. That would be dumb. Just let it go. In a few weeks, you probably won't even miss that money but I know it's hard to accept that you were taken by one of the basic tricks of her trade.
They will likely arrest you and maybe her if they find her. Sorry you got taken but consider it a learning experience and move on.
Also, mention sex or any sex act on the phone with a provider is another bad idea and will get you hung up on a lot. It is not discrete and is the sort of thing LE likes because it makes it easy to show that you are paying for sexual activities of one kind or another.
