Because the rate right now is $182.50 and then they charge a $10 fee.

so if I understand this correctly you want a provider to accept the money for services and then they takeit to their bank or wherever.whichever way it goes someone is out near $30. Why should it be the provider? Or would that just be partial payment and the rest in US dollars.... either way someone is out $30.

Bri Sweetie, I'm not asking it from a provider for services. I'm asking it from anyone on the board that may travel to Canada a lot. Someone who travels there frequently will understand. It actually works out for both parties just to trade the money. The exchange is a very messy thing. Simply, the banks on both sides charge fee's, so even that the exchange rate it pretty much par, you get screwed both ways

Anyone that travels to Canada a lot is not going to take that deal.  Any bank in Canada will exchange currency for near current exchange rates.

US Banks do change a bit higher fees for the service
