Just had an interesting experience with a new to the area provider. Apparently she only has you contact her via e-mail. Subsequent to that she wants a verifiable phone number to call you back and discuss meeting. I gave her my phone number with a larger than life disclaimer "Do not call me until we have settled on a time due to my wife possibly being there." This girl not only calls once when my wife was home and answered the phone, she calls 3 times. And for those of you that know what 3 anonymous phone calls in a row mean.....Wow, i would have given her my cell but she wanted to talk to me on a verifiable phone number. I e-mailed her and basically said how stupid was that? She responded saying that "I was lucky she played it off" etc. Yeah right, Well, lesson learned.

Please share this provides name so we know to avoise her like the plague. This is thype of BS that we don't need around her EVER agin!  There has been too much abuse with information in data bases in the past and this even further fans the fires.

As I have been very adament before about data bases and information kept, there is NO reason for any provider once the hobbyist is verified to keep anything more than a first name and last 4 digits of phone number.

I would always make sure that you are dealing with a competent person and that she is capable of following directions.  Just because they make $$$ per hour doesn’t mean they know how to handle the business arrangement.  As MDL said.. don’t give out your numbers..

Is the fact that she called you at your house the problem or is the fact that you are married and trying to set up an appointment to see a provider the problem?

The problem should have been obvious in my initial post. It was the fact that I gave her very specific instructions as to when she could call and she either she didn't really understand (I doubt anybody would have a problem understanding "Please e-mail me before you call we need to set up a specific time for you to call due to my wife") or she just simply didn't care. The fact is that I articulated my wishes and she should have respected them. I have always been respectful of providers and I don't think it's to much to ask for the same courtesy. Again, my purpose is not to start a verbal battle with anyone, it was/is simply to provide other hobbyists information about my unfortunate experience with this provider. What they, or anyone else for that matter, choose to do with the info is up to them.
Thanks
