Haven't been to TJ in a couple years and have not frequented it for even a longer time.  I am getting itchy, however, to see some "18 year old" chicas.  How is the scene these days?  Is Adelita's, followed by Chicago Club, still the best way to spend an evening in TJ?

Any other notable changes such as hot new clubs or other changes?

Thanks.

What has changed in TJ in the past 5 years?

The biggest dividing line is 9/11--a little more that 5 years ago.  Crossing the border after 9/11 takes much longer, consequently tourism is down in Tijuana.

The Zona Norte has been remolded, with wider streets and more street lights.  Muggings are way down.

The past couple of years police shakedowns at the border of pedestrian nighttime tourists returning to the US has increased.  A new mayor took office 12/1/07.  Early signs are the new administration will "reign in the cops," but it's still too soon to know.

Adelitas has been remolded.  AB and CC are still the clubs drawing the most mongers.  They still have a good selection of chicas, but I don't think there are as many as a couple of years ago.

Bar Girl prices are up a little.  $60.00 is now the going rate for a 30 minute session.  (Some girls at some clubs are pushing for more.  Another price increase may be around the corner.)

MPs are now legal.  Another major change (for the better) are the number of Internet escorts in Tijuana.  (Check out this board under the Tijuana section.)

The TJ escorts are great.  GFE sessions are the norm, as are $150.00 an hour prices.  TJ escorts beat their US counterparts in every way you can name.  (And—unlike the US--the agencies can be trusted.  In TJ the agencies provide honest, professional, first-class providers and service.)

In summary: chica numbers a down a little, prices are up a little, but overall with the addition of TJ escorts things are better now than 5 years ago.

My partner Jessica and I were just down there a couple of weeks ago for some dental work (I'd lost a crown) and afterward we walked down Constitution to Coahuila - always a fun stroll for a couple of gringa transsexuals...  Giggle.

This was a couple of weeks after the recent media reports of Americans being robbed in Baja.  There were zero tourists.  I heard tourism since Thanksgiving is off 30-50%.

It was around 7 pm on I think a Wednesday, but there were the usual number of street girls, and we got our usual range of comments, whistles and gender slurs from the mexican guys, who seem to either want to hump us right there on the street and don't care who knows... or they want to kill us.  :-)

It's not like the US where we blend in.  When you are a 6' tall gringa girl in a land of 4 foot women you tend to stand out... giggle.

I saw several obvious mongers crusing the area on foot.  For the most part they looked pretty scruffy, not guys I'd want date.  And one american guy hit us up for money...

One thing I did notice, when we returned, the cops at the Sentri were nowhere to be seen.  Not even the ones usually at the duty free story.  First time in years I haven't seen any.  Not sure if it was just a fluke around the holidays or what.

One other unusual thing, there was ZERO wait.  We just walked right up to the desk.

So, maybe it was just an anomality or (fingers crossed) a sign of things to come.

And before you go remember - BUY AMERICAN!

Giggle,
TS Jamie :-)
