La Mansion is in the Zona Rio off the Via Rapida. It is near the Fiesta Inn, Paseo de los Heroes 18818. I suggest taking a cab. From the border or the Zona Norte in a yellow cab it should cost $5.00-$7.00. Expect to pay $7.00 back to the border as cab drivers want more for a hotel pickup.
It’s a “love nest” used by a lot of local doctors, lawyers, and Indian chiefs. Prices are usually $36.00 for short-term use. (Sometimes there is a 4-hour limit on the short term use.) Overnight is $59.00. If you pay the short term rate once you leave you’re checked out. With the overnight rate you have in and out privileges with a 2pm check out time.

The garage has a door so nobody can see who is cheating on his wife by looking at the cars people are driving. Room service is fairly decent and reasonably priced, although the menu is limited. Try the shrimp cocktail.
One thing is they use the European system of holding your ID until you check out. It bothered me in the beginning. However, I’ve been there several times and never had a problem. They check the room for damage and thieft before you leave (only takes a minute as they use guys with walk-talkies) so they want your ID to prevent you from skipping out.
Rooms are very nice. As close to five stars as anything I've seen in TJ--nicer than the Pueblo Amigo rooms. Large TV with two porno channels. Indirect lighting with dimmer switches, etc.
This is unprecidented. Cascadas is the hotel many mongers stay in while in TJ. They charge $31 for a single room, $40 for a double and $67 for a jacuzzi room. There are now going to make you pay $5 to bring any street girl or $12 to bring any bar girl to your own room, on top of your rooms fees. That's for every chica whether you do one chica or five.
In the past, having a double or jacuzzi room let you take as many girls up as you wanted. Recently they have been making you pay for second or more girls if they caught you for a single room. Many mongers used the two different entrances so they got around this. Needless to say this new policy really stinks and will add to your costs even if you have your own room.
