I get the gamblers rate at around 55 bucks which is a steal

regular rates can range from 85 to 140 depending on the day and how busy they are

Ever since they have been honoring my 55 dollar rates it doesnt make sense to go anywhere else.

Milk posted the best deal but I haven't used it... the gambler's rate, that is. Guess I should and save some cash. I get the AAA (auto club) rate which is $80 and I usually go on weekdays. Even for $80, I think it's worth it. Actually, I just remembered... on the last trip, I upgraded to a "Junior Suite" because it had a lockable safe in it which I wanted to use. But if you are interested in the safe, know that at least in my room, it wasn't bolted down!

Thanks for the information about discounts at the Pueblo Amigo.  Sounds like I may need to switch.  I've stayed at the Hotel Lucerena in the Zona Rio on  Blvd de los Heroes when I plan on spending the night with somebody special. (The rooms are very nice, probably comporable to those in PA.)  The AAA rate sounds the same as PA ($80-90 depending on when).  Chicas seem to really like eating in Lucerena's restraurant called the Rivoli (sp?) as it's a impressive, rather formal crystal and linen type place, with a piano bar, and soft lighting later at night.  I always ask for a room in the back (its sort like an annex) as you can bring a girl to the room through the parking lot without passing the front desk or using the elevators.

The Pueblo Amigo, however, is closer to more action (Luxor, Boleros, etc.) so I think I'll try it next time.  A couple of questions:
   --How easy/safe is it to take a girl to the room
     (especially if the girl looks young or doesn't have ID)
   --How do you get the gamblers rate

My buddies and I throw big parties here every once in a while and i can tell you some of the girls look like they should be playing hopscotch and not drinking scotch !!
They should have an id.
Did you no it is illegal in Mexico to be without an ID ?

Place sum bets in the Caliente sports book inside PA.
then ask for a letter because you will be staying at the hotel.

They know me so now i really don't have to bet they just hand over the letter. If they give you a hard time just act like you own the place and ask for the manager. At nighttime he is a tall bald headed guy that speaks decent english.

I find it very difficult that people get thrown out of hotels for bringing girls to their hotel rooms but it does happen.
