I also agree that the "new" TER is responsible for less reviews being posted. I had 2 reviews never make it up in the TJ section for reasons unknown. Also it took them 9 days to post my last review.
I think the hobby in TJ must be going good. When I've called about escorts, some are always booked at the time but available a little later or whatever. Sure, some americans are hesitant to go down because of violence, but there are still lots of girls available and at great prices compared to the US (I'm not counting rip-off girls formerly on Craigs List). I havn't had any problems down there the few times I've been down recently. More people need to start posting again!
I notice there are only 3 reviews posted over the last 3 weeks on this website for TJ.
Does this mean that there are fewer mongers visiting TJ and therefore less reviews or does it mean that membership is down at this website.
Either way the lack of posting on this board and new reviews make it less desirable to continue membership at TER. What do you think

One of the reasons for the drop in TER traffic more than likely has to do with the changes made to what is visible for non-subscribers. You used to be able to see the rating, the price, etc. and all the other data except for the details. Now with all of that information being "VIP only", TER has voluntarily stepped down from being a highly credible source in regards to escorts and is now just basically a "members-only" type of club. The 'TER Reviewed' logo used to mean something, and anyone could go and see the ratings and data. Now, since a subscription is basically necessary, it doesn't really mean a whole lot. I have no idea why TER made that decision. More than likely someone in management thought that more people would subscribe if they hid more details from non-subscribers. This obviously back-fired.
As far as lack of posting, there have been multiple people that have told me not to post. The main reason is because they disagree with me. When you have a community that says "Anyone who doesn't agree shouldn't be here", then the community basically slowly kills itself. This happened with a local Tijuana website forum area. They banned everyone who would have a critical opinion about an escort or service, so then another forum popped up and is slowly taking over. They are far less strict and the number of posts reflects that.
If you are dissatisfied with the number of posts, you should speak to your buddies about the people they have more than likely run off.
I agree with you Kadjevic, dont know why they even have the basic and for Vip only section of the review, because nobody but Vip can see any of it anyway. Probably is causing a drop in membership, but I guess that is left to the people paying for the site......As for fun in TJ, it is certainly there for those that do a little research, and have common sense. Well below prices in the states, and the attitude of the girls is usually wonderful.
In Tijuana, finding an attractive escort is extremely rare. Someone might have a beautiful face, but then she has huge scars with scar tissue around the mid section, or she is disproportionately overweight in certain areas, again, usually the mid section. I've seen women that have very nice bodies, but their teeth look like they just got into a fist fight and their face is nothing short of scary. Like anything else, you get what you pay for. The $100-$175 is about average for this part of the world considering what you get.
You can't just compare dollars alone. In Los Angeles, for instance, I can get an extremely hot escort for $300 for 1 hour - 90 minutes depending. At that rate, her body will be very appealing and she'll also have a great face. No tortilla stomach, no discount cosmetic surgery scars, and no yellow teeth.
As far as the attitude goes, it's also rare to find a good attitude in Tijuana also. Conversation is usually close to non-existent, as they don't have anything to talk about besides television shows, alcohol, or complaining about their ex-husband (or current husband). They spend 15 minutes asking you why you're single, that they don't understand it, and then spend 15 more minutes saying they are shy and embarrassed because they met you "in that way" (I suppose they mean as a prostitute compared to a heart surgeon or business executive). Basically, anything other than them lying face down is either a snore fest or an interrogation as to why you're single. I don't get that in other places. It's a normal occurrence in Tijuana and happens over 90% of the time.
I know that all women are different, of course, but I'm just judging from my experience. I've frequented women from all over, and it is possible to draw trends. Women in Europe, the United States, and Japan become prostitutes because they like money, a large amount of them. In Mexico, it's so taboo that I'd say only 1% do it because they like money, and 99% do it because their ex threw them out on their ass (normally rightfully so) and they have children they have to support and they pissed away their education opportunities when they were younger due to substance abuse problems or outright laziness. (If you believe the "I'm a student" stories from these women, I have a bridge I'd like to sell you).
I'll pay the higher price and get a good looking fun woman over the discount bargain bin prostitute any day of the week. I will gladly pay double the going rate to find someone like this. Trust me, it doesn't exist. I've offered $300/hour (triple the local going rate) to any agency that can produce one, and all that follows is pictures with no real person showing up, or someone who looks like they fell out of the ugly tree that some truck driver claimed was a beauty queen the week prior. If it existed, I would have found it already. It doesn't.
It's flawed logic to say "$100 for Tijuana, or $300 for LA. Tijuana is better." Look at what you get for your dollar. If you ask me, the going rate for Tijuana is still too high at $80 - $120. Needs to be $60 - $80 from the talent I've seen. Perhaps it will be soon. This isn't to say it's all horrible in Tijuana, but let's not put Burger King in the same category as a fine dining restaurant. Nothing wrong with a cheeseburger and some fries, but let's call it what it is and not try and put lipstick on a pig.
I disagree. Tijuana has lots of hot escorts. Also the service I get is consistently much better than what US providers usually provide. With the top tier escort agencies in Tijuana getting a GFE is a given. Not so in So-Cal.
I don't know about GFE. If I wanted a girlfriend, I would go find one. I need the opposite of a girlfriend. A woman who is reasonable and won't bother me. That's what the money is for. It's a type of insurance premium paid to ensure against sudden phone calls, home visits, and obligations of telling someone what you were doing last night or if you're seeing other women. I don't want to "kiss" and "cuddle", or any of that other nonsense that people seem to desire. If you want to kiss and cuddle, go find a date at some night club. I'm sure a woman will be happy to oblige you for those things as well as give you some random phone calls, interrogations about "the other woman", or unreasonable demands after sex.
You get the money, or you get the personal phone number and my real name - you don't get both. Pick one.
actually the mods are slow as always releasing the reviews. Sometimes they throw fake reviews right up and tell an actual client it was too descriptive or not descriptive enough.
I am going down there tomorrow. If you want information about my trip, just pm me. I have had pretty good luck with a couple of the agencies I use. But that was a couple of years ago. Hopefully my experience will still be good. It's an adventure!!!
I'm going down friday for a night of adult activities. Always have an of the charts good time. Will post reviews....;o)
The hobby is very much alive in Tijuana. New escort agencies are appearing all the time. (I've found, however, they have a lot of growing pains and it's best to stick with the established, top tier agencies.)
I think the problem is that fewer people are posting reviews on TER. I blame that on the changes where now only VIP members can see details that were once open to all.
I agree with the TER statement. I understand having "juicy details" available for members, sure. But it's somewhat important to know if someone is a 2 in performance and a 4 in looks. Sometimes you can tell, but many times the introduction is basically "So I called up Martha, and met her at the meet location. VIPs read on." That tells us nothing. Hence what I said earlier about being TER reviewed does not have the same gravity as it did before.
I also agree that the "new" TER is responsible for less reviews being posted. I had 2 reviews never make it up in the TJ section for reasons unknown. Also it took them 9 days to post my last review.

This isn't at all to say that Tijuana is "safe" when compared to places in California, but it's better than it used to be.
I wouldn't go off of an escort being "booked" as a guideline. "Booked" can mean her phone has been off for 5 days and no one can locate her. Go off of the price. The price reflects the market demand, and the price is falling fast. People can make all kinds of claims, but the fact is that some women who were charging $100 USD for an hour are now charging $800 pesos M.N. That's not happening because "business is good", it's happening because market demand has dropped, so the price drops as well.
Many escorts will tell you they have been busy, or booked solid, because they're trying to create that psychological scarcity to make it sound like they are in high demand. Fact is, they're still broke, they still live in shacks or with 3 other people, and their going rate is 50% less than it was 18 months ago. People lie, but numbers don't. Another tactic I've seen on classified ads is these new start-up agencies trying to claim that their escorts don't like taking more than 3-4 dates a week because they like to be "fresh". Again, if the business was there, they'd do it, but since the market doesn't bring them more than 3 a week, instead of noting that business is down, they use confirmation bias to make it sound like it's a voluntary choice and that conditions are ideal for their business model. Again, more dishonesty, kind of like how most escort ads you see indicate the escorts are "students", yet mysteriously they are able to be full-time students without setting foot on campus, having wide availability, and not being able to tell you exactly what they're studying besides vague terms they say on a billboard somewhere.
looks like supply/demand 101 apply to all business. just came back from TJ, the strip club scene is getting better and better. expensive but girls are much hotter. What do you think?
has taken a Major hit from the always inaccurate and Oh So UNRELIABLE, news media here in the USA. Even I am hesitant to visit. As a veteran of many visits to Mexican border towns, my experiences have been good, on average. My last visit to TJ was a long time ago but, even then, we all took precautions when walking in the Zona Roha! Walk well away from the buildings, in the street sometimes. A buddy of mine from AZ, a very big man, well over 6 feet and 350 lbs., had a guy try to mug him with the usual choke hold. Needless to say, John simply shook him off and went on his way. Back then, the policia often conducted raids on those clubs, charging in with sub-machineguns at the ready, into a packed club. BTW, this was in TJ about 20 years ago, so I suspect a lot has changed. My major problem is why, except for parts of NV and all of RI (they do not have laws prohibiting our kind of fun) having a female companion spending time with a man for money is NOT leagal. Yet, our neighbors, South and North, as well as the rest of the civilized world, having fun for $$ is perfectly fine!-- flyrod
Personally, I find the zona norte a gross and disgusting place. The highway nearby smells of raw sewage, and there are holes in the street that are literally 18 inches deep. Everyone shouts profanities and vulgarities in the street and the music is absolutely atrocious. There's just absolutely nothing there that strikes my interest. Of course the criminal element is going to gather there because they have to gather somewhere. They would be thrown out of the business districts and decent night time areas rather quickly, so they congregate in just about the worst hell hole possible, which is the zona norte. I mean does the smell of human shit turn people on? Doesn't work with me, but maybe I'm odd.
I can't imagine the prices in some of the places around town being similar to what they were before. $14 for a cocktail? I might as well be in Manhattan or in Ibiza. That's not mentioning the price that people pay to buy coloured water for the women. I haven't done that, so I don't recall how much it costs. I think it was $10 for a coloured water the last time I heard someone buy someone something, but this was several years ago.
I've heard the prices of lap dances be $40 or so. The women need to be much better looking to warrant that price. I would assume we will see a drop in price or a consolidation of strip club businesses in the near future. There's just no way people have $14 to burn every time they want a whiskey. Oh, not to mention the exchange rate change-up. I saw at the door they were giving the dollar at 10.5:1 when it was 13.5:1 at the bank or so. I started to pay the tab in pesos and they re-calculated the price on the tab in order to fit a different exchange rate. I gave them the 10.5:1 rate they had posted and had on the menus and told them to call the police if they had a concern as I walked out. I didn't get arrested, so I imagine they were fine with it in the end. I had 3 drinks and the bill was over $40 USD.
