It was my first and LAST Mixer as host. I QUIT ! I'm very sorry but the "no-show" problem is out of control. Only 40 guys out of over 100 who RSVP'd ? ! ? ! ? ! Frankly, I think that a new model has to be developed : charge the ladies ? ( which I would HATE to see happen ) ; go to a cash bar ? ; get money up front ? I don't know. It's now the headache for whoever hosts the next one. He and/or she will have my full support and every good wish.
Sorry to hear there were problems with attendance. This was my first mixer and thought it was well organized and had a good group of people. Very enjoyable and I think you should be commended.
Didn't mean to mis-spell your name but I'm working on 3 hours sleep. It was a LATE night. Part of the host's duties is to make sure each and every female guest is tucked in and a lot of them wouldn't let me leave unless I told them a bedtime story. A lousy job but somebody had to do it. I don't know how TBM managed to do it for FOUR YEARS !
This is an open letter to all you no-shows last night. When you see a post about an upcoming event, KEEP IT IN YOUR PANTS!!! You're so excited about seeing girls you jump in with big promises about being there. Before you do anything, do the following: 1. Check your calender. Are you REALLY going to be free that night? Do you really know 2 months in advance? 2. Check your wallet. Is $120 going to be a problem? Sorry bro but fun costs money in this hobby. Don't think "I'll figure out how to get the money." 3. Is there someone who might prevent you from going? If there is, then YOU'RE NOT GOING!!! Don't ruin it for the rest of us. You have succeeded in pissing off TBM and now Vadhaman. These are big, costly, expensive projects for the organizer. Stop treating like you're going to Burger King.
Most of these parties are planned, budgeted, and paid for, by the "donations" of the gentlemen who say they will attend. When one says "I'll be there" then doesn't show, that's revenue that comes out of the organizer's pocket.
If you wish to continue to have someone go to the effort to plan and organize these opportunities for you to meet and greet some pretty amazing women, you need to realize that a confirmation of attendance is a commitment and unless something awful occurs, you need to keep that commitment.
I'll step off my soapbox now. I will continue to plan and organize the Tampa Soiree for as long as I have fun doing it. But if it gets to be to much hassle, to expensive to financially cover others, it will end.
I had a great time last night. It must have been really hard work to pull this off. You deserve all our thanks. So nice to see some of my most favorite women. Yes, that's you Julie & Chloe & Sindie. And, Erika & Marley.
I wanted to express my thanks for a wonderful evening. I drove from Rhode Island just for the occasion. I had never gone to a M&G before, ever, so I was a bit nervous. Once there it was nothing at all like I imagined. Ladies were actually very friendly, truly an unexpected surprise, gentleman were EXACTLY that. I was very pleased. The venue was nice and cozy, the drinks STRONG AS HELL, but I won't make that a complaint, lol. Especially since I nursed the same one for the duration of the time and couldn't finish that one.
I can't expect you to not step down because I hope to be invited to another but I hope that you are at the least asked for your input on the next, you done well. Sorry that it was half disappointing to you and the rest who organized. To tell the truth, I won't say that a small donation from myself would be a game changer in my decision to come, not sure how other ladies would receive that. But maybe an RSVP with cash may be in order the next time. 50/up front 50/at the door? I don't presume to assume what works best for you so I'll just say thanks for inviting me to this one. I had a great time. And if we never meet again, Thank You For This One
You openly hyped this so much I bet the placed was bugged/watched from wall to wall.
You charged so much that a guest could have bypassed the party and gotten a happy ending at a local massage parlor, and for a few extra coins they could get a real session.
Your reputation here is less than sterling (whether deserved or not) and you beat your wife-beater clad chest more than Tarzan, which is less than appealing.
Frankly, I'm surprised anybody showed, but this is the kicker.
You put yourself in the place of party host, and now you are whining like an ingrate. What's the matter, did the no shows eat into your profits? A good host is gracious and serves their guests with humility. A better post would be to thanks those that showed up and call it a day.
Personally, I find all this braying for attention to be nauseating, but I do thank you for one thing...
It's usually a thankless job when you plan an event. I think you did just fine. I'm sorry that you didnt get the Male turnout you expected. Sudden no-shows dont realize how they effect events like this. Thnx again though....see you at the next one.
Great party; I talked to at least 8 ladies and have a firm date with two of them (more to come?). Don't give up. The ratio m to f was perfect. Fire the "no-shows" from your lists, and if need be, raise the price to 150.
Although your unbelievably rotten and foul message does not merit a serious response, I can't help but point out that anyone who hides behind an alias, and one with skirts no less, is a gutless coward whether male or female. It's fun to snipe from behind a curtain, isn't it? Well, for one thing, what vadhman charged was totally within reason, barely more than others request. For another, I do not know the man himself but while he many not be perfect he threw a great party and deserves oor thanks. I am sorry he will not do another and only hope he will reconsider, although considering the vitriol he received from bums and losers like you, on top of the money lost, I cannot blame him. Shame on you.
Very much looking forward to the next one... I had fun talking to new people, guys and gals. It was definitely worth the time & effort... Drinks were great, but could have used more food! Thst is my on'y criticism ---> the gentlemen were so talkative and friendly that worked up quite an appetite.
Can't wait for the next one! I love the Big Apple! xoxox, Alex

putting together such a great party for us last night! I had an awesome time!
Thanks so much much for the kind and gracious words. When will you be hosting so I can take notes and learn how to do it right ?
To recap: 1. I never wanted to host in the first place. I was ASKED to do it and initially said: "No". I was asked again and said : "NO ! ". I had enough on my plate. It was after two beautiful ladies promised to help me and act as co-hostesses that I weakened and said I would do it. 2.I tried to minimize the "no-show" problem by trying to make it clear that ONLY people who were SURE they could make it were to send in their e-mails. I had 74 ladies RSVP and only 35 showed up. Over 100 guys said they were coming and only 40 showed up. I made it clear that "work" would NOT be an acceptable excuse for not showing up. What was the Number 1 excuse ? WORK. I honestly expected that about 50% would show up ( based on historical averages for NYC ) which would have been fine. At less than 40%, I was at serious risk of having to go into my pocket and cover any shortfall. How much of a "good sport" am I supposed to be ? 3. If we look at the track record of Meet & Greets in other cities , especially L.A. and Vegas, it is clear that there is something in the NYC persona that creates a casual attitude toward attendance. When Bond throws a Meet & Greet the attendance is EXCELLENT ! You folks tell me : Are the people out in L.A. that much more polite and considerate ? Same for Vegas. 4. COST - I was asked to get a nicer venue with better food. Everyone agrees that I did. The cost for the gentlemen is based on how much is necessary to cover themselves AND the ladies. I COULD have done it a little bit cheaper but you get what you pay for. The food certainly disappeared fast enough and everyone has raved about the venue.
I have other parties in the pipeline. My 3rd Annual Halloweiner Costume Party in October and the 4th Annual Toys For Tits Holiday party in early December. Let somebody else do the next Mixer. I'll be happy to help them in any way that I can.
