Regarding the post below regarding a Tampa area M+G.
There seems to be a good level of interest in this.
So I will come out of my shell and say that if there is an interest, I would be willing to get the ball started.
Now, I know most of you don't know me personally or prfessionally, but my name should be recognised by most of you as someone who has been around here for a while and has always been a "voice of reason". And for anyone who questions my "bona fides" I can also supply references if needed.

I think this will take some time to get going so I would be looking at least a few months down the road, say June or July.
Also, I like the idea of a simple Happy Hour (or two) get together at a convenient location (suggestions will be accepted).
The location will depend on how many actually want to be invited.  

Before I agree to even start this, however, there must be a few rules that must be strictly adhered to. This is for your safety and security as well as mine.

Rules:

1. All initial contact will be via TER PM. No email or phone contacts until things are more firmed up. This is just a security precaution.

2. This must be by invitation only...only verified/screened people, both male and female will be invited.
If you are not verified you will not be invited.

3. NO BUSINESS WILL BE CONDUCTED. This must appear to anyone observing  to be a simple getting together of a group of ordinary people, an office party, a garden club...

4. Reference #3...dress accordingly, tastefully and respectfully. Do not draw attention to yourself or the group.

5. Discretion is a must!!!!!!!
This can't be stressed enough. What is said, seen, and heard during this time together stays in the room.
And do not share with anyone the location of the M+G, not even after the event.

6. MANDATORY..NO cameras, filming, recording of any type. Anyone caught with a camera of any type will be outed and severly chastised on the boards of TER.  

If these rules can be agreed to, I'm sure we can pull this off in a mature, adult manner, expand our business base, and get to meet some new friends.

So, if this doesn't seem out of line and you feel you can abide by these rules, which may be amended as we go along, then let me know if you are interested and if you would like me to proceed.
This will involve alot of work and some of you may be asked to help.

I look forward to getting you thoughts and ideas.

Sounds fine with me.  Everyones privacy needs to be kept just that, private.

On the camera issue, dont forget about those with cam phones.  Those with them, just need to be respectful and keep them away.

I am interested but am not sure I am "verified."  If not, that is ok as well.  Better to deal with security conservatively to get the ball rolling.

Bobb3590, no offense, but you seem really new to this board, with only a couple of reviews.  Why is it you want a meet & greet so fast.  Others have made the suggestion and it has failed, for a variety of reasons.  Just curious!

Of course you can come, Jada. It would be a major downer if you didn't show up.   I thought you were trying to get it going in Bradenton or Sarasota.

My post was for the ladies only. A brunch or lunch on the beach...providers only. But if everyone is discreet and neat with a M&G, I'm all for it!

It seems like it is getting way too complicated. It is simple and easy...friends getting together for a few cocktails, chatting about whatever and getting to no each other. Just like u were in the Real Estate biz or going to a Chamber gathering. What is the big drama deal? Business associates and friends getting together, it's that simple.

If there is enough interest to actually get one put together for the Tampa area, then I would attend.

I would travel from Naples.  Combine business and the hobby.

Count me in!  Who can I rely on to keep me in the loop?  And do I need to be verified?  Let me know what you need from me.  I can't wait!

Hey how is the meet and greet going in tampa is it too late to take part!!!

Doesn't seem to be going too well, no one has stepped  up to set it up.  Can't do it myself, so   have to  wait for someone to get ball rolling.

There had been some momentum before and chevisman11 had posted a warning.  After that things seemed to die down.
 I think the community in Tampa has been really ambivalent about a M&G.  I think people like the idea as a fun thing but many are concerned about the risk from LE
 I suspect that if the organizer is an experienced reviewer and any details are under the radar then it is more possible.
