I take full responsibility and apologize to one and all. I was away from a computer until now and this is the first chance I've had to post.

A nosy , RACIST neighbor called in a report of someone "WWB" = "Walking While Black" and we were visited by local LE. Nobody got arrested or ticketed and no names were taken down. We just decided that the house might be "hot" so we shut down and walked away. I was there y-day for several hiours just in case anyone who didn't get the word showed up. Nobody did but apparently several people did not find out and were seriously inconvenienced. Would those people please PM me so I can discuss makiing it up to you ?

I am terribly sorry but I NEVER compromise on safety or security. The good news is that we have several other parties in the pipeline in the months ahead and we will be doing another Pool Party next year in a MUCH better town with MUCH nicer neighbors. There are such places. We had one last yearas a matter of fact. There were some other problems not worth posting about but the bottom line is we had no choice but to cancel.

Once again I apologize and take full responsibility.

Also, all the hard work you put into putting on these events is not lost on us.  Thanks!

It just wasn't meant to be. I take full responsibility for thinking we could have a party in the town where we were. "Walking While Black " ?? !! ?? !! Give me a break. In 2011 with someone of color in the Oval Office ? ! ? ! Obviously so. Living and learning.

We have other get-togethers in the pipeline in the coming months. Our 2d Annual Halloweenie Party is a few months away. Last year's attendees can verify that the location was 100% safe and secure.

We WILL have a Pool party next year in a MUCH better location and hopefully with MUCH better weather.

Heard what happened...

NJ is one of the most uncool places in the world to party.  I've lived here for the past fifty years, and know that intrinsically that this place is uncool to hobby (mostly), and just about everything else, except for it's proximity to NYC.

Not Exactly. It depends. Last year we had ZERO problems. Unfortunately we couldn't get the same house we used last year. We rented a house in the WRONG town. That's all. We already have lines on much better places for next year.

Sorry to hear.  My original post was over the top, and I apologize.  You have done your best to make things happen here, and you are to commended for your efforts.
