I'm wondering if anyone is planning on this for the spring. Or has everyone gone away for good? Say it isn't so!
Hoping for the best. We sure have been through the trenches here. Let's dance!

Slainte,

Anna Annis

I am guessing that if there are future M & G's it will be some new team of people organizing them.

I did inquire of August West in mid-January about a Boston M&G, and he indicated that he would check into it with the other Mods, but I think Foody is correct, it is more likely to get done by new Mods.

I haven't check into the Yahoo Group site.  Not sure if that was deleted shortly after FOSTA/SESTA was passed.

"Governor Charlie Baker Orders All Non-Essential Businesses To Cease In Person Operation, Directs the Department of Public Health to Issue Stay at Home Advisory For Two Weeks "
.
"The Baker-Polito Administration Order also limits gatherings to 10 people during the state of emergency, a reduction from the 25 person limit established in an earlier order.  This includes community, civic, public, leisure, faith-based events, and any similar event or activity that brings together more than 10 persons in any confined indoor or outdoor space. A law abiding poster on the Board!  The world has changed.  LOL.

Thank you, impposter, for pointing out that a M&G would probably violate the Baker "Order" limiting gatherings, not considering any constitutional questions concerning the authority Baker may have to do so.

In this day and medical crisis, it is important to comply with all "Orders" and "Instructions" limiting physical proximity and contact between individuals, particularly strangers.

And, of course, Wash Your Hands even if you don't think you should.

What are these meet and greets? And how do I get invited?

I hope we can meet up in the spring. Maybe or hope that most of us will be vaccinated!

The link below offers some great answers about attending a M&G (as a noobie).
As a host I will tell you everything about a guests requested attendance should be and/or will be scrutinized.
At the party your behavior is paramount!

A problem might be that while the old men will have been vaccinated the people that we would want to see may still be waiting for their shots.
