"Classy" vs. "Non-classy"

So, this topic seems to have come up a couple of times in threads below.

Since, well, some the Vegas M&Gs I've been involved with have been on the end of stripper poles, naked people in swimming pools, fire eating and so on... I guess I would argue it's fine to have something that's on the "non-classy" side of things, if you can hack it (Vegas has an advantage in that finding places to rent for this sort of thing is relatively easy to do and not too expensive, compared to other cities). That doesn't mean you should feel like you can initiate unwanted contact or generally be a jackass, mind you (and our parties haven't really had that problem), but really, any of the hijinks could be found at a strip club or an AVN party, so it shouldn't be a big deal, Maybe us West Coasters are more willing to let it all hang out. ;)

But that being said, Vegas has also had M&Gs at bowling alleys, strip clubs/bars and go-kart racing, so it's not like we're all playing grab-ass while downing excessive quantities of booze, either. Hell, I've helped throw a party with a live blues band, or had another event professionally catered. And there's a good argument to be made that a party discreetly held in public has its advantages as well- people will act with more decorum and not get mixed messages.

Anyway... it really all depends on what works for you and your guests. Just keep being excellent to each other.
