For example, I have one favorite who does a great acupuncture massage by deeply pressing on certain points of my back.

There are also many practices at the better Asian massage places including walking on the back.

And of course there is tantra which is a whole different level.

I hope that you try all that there is out there.

I've also had pretty good luck getting a half-way decent massage at most AMPs I've been to.  It helps if you tell them that you enjoy the massage and to use firm pressure.

.... Excuse me... Don't get me wrong here, I like amps. Most here seem to compare the extras as to what make a good place and the extras can be very nice. But perhaps I'm missing something if the extras are extras what about the MAIN service.. The massage!  I love massage and a really great massage will certainly get me into the mood for the extras but I am really disappointed at the quality of the massage at most "MP's".  

TER has even made it more difficult to find great ladies by grouping FBSM ladies in with the FS providers and limiting the performance scale. Additionally, in the TER listing many say Escort/massage but have no clue about a massage.

So I thought for this post we might discuss what makes a REALLY GREAT massage!
So what works for you?

For me it is a Swedish / firm massage with light touches in between.
every part should be massaged especially ALL the cracks and crevices.
I like face and scalp massage.
One lady had a mirror at the side so I could watch while I wan on my face..
I also like the lady to sit on me and slide around with an unexpected brush that can be so sensual.
On the flip, since the is the first time I really get to look at her, A thorough massage before any extras is really nice. And finally don't forget the prostate massage.
I know one lady who does the flip side so well her HE is more than enough!

I agree with SampleTaster that a quality massage is essential to the experience.  Anything less is merely a "body rub", which is typically the refuge of the ill-trained and non-serious.  I don't normally enjoy a dessert without a meal before it.  The one add on that I enjoy is the opportunity to reciprocate with some respectful touching stroking of her, although I'm careful to make sure that is welcome first.  Don't want to run the karma of a nice experience with an ill timed advance.

It's so interesting that this was recently posted.  I was actually thinking about a similar thing as I was leaving my last AMP visit.

I was actually trying to figure out what my ideal massage/spa experience would be.  Here's what I thought of so far:

Step 1: cleaning and prep
I really enjoy the bath ritual part of my tantra experiences and the table shower is quite often under-utilized at amps(a nice hottub or jacuzzi would be ideal).  Hot pink NYC has the best table shower I've encountered but for all the niceness of it, the girls never really seem to enjoy that part.  Some playfulness would go along way instead of fearing to get wet.  Also, the girls should take care of round one before the massage(bj or hj).

Step 2: massage
Here is where I think i can find the most improvement.  Once in the massage room, spend some time under a hot towel or with some hot stones to get the body starting to relax.  Then moves onto a more traditional massage, tantra, Reiki, Swedish or thai, but it should encompass the entire body from head to fingers to toes.  Eventually the massage should move to a sensual naked body to body where all options become available to complete a second round.

Step 3: parting ways
I always wanted to relax in a sauna after round two.  A hot naked girl in a sauna would be a site to see.  Then off to the shower and on my way.  

I haven't found a spa with a sauna or hot tub yet.  Saw a couple of reviews for ny health spa, but have not gone since I am worried I will be disappointed.

The girl should accompany you from step one to three.  Thoughts/comments welcome...

I've gotten plenty of Thai massages, and they're the best, for a couple of reasons:

(1) They really push, pull, and stretch you.  Feels a bit discomforting at the time, but it's the only massage where I still feel its *good* effects hours later.

(2) It's on a floor mattress, so the masseuse is down on the same level as you.  Occasionally, the legit massage has morphed into something more, and both lying together is great.  Even if it stays legit, there's something sexy in the air with the lady leaning over my face and other parts.

I've had some incredible massages that include everything you asked for except company in the sauna & the hot towel/hot stone treatment after the table shower.

IMHO, particularly with the AMPs, you have to find a MP that has the table shower & sauna first (and I also like fully private massage rooms). Then frequent it enough so that you get to know the Mama-San, and all the girls. Try them out, and find a masseuse you really like, tip her well, and always ask for her when you visit that parlour (I book ahead of time, usually calling a couple hours prior to my arrival).  Always book at least an hour too.

I found a place that met all these requirements in a state that I travelled thru regularly (it's a very small state, and is known for AMPs).  The Mama-San treats me like visiting royalty when I arrive (I occasionally tip her too).  My favorite is waiting for me after I get undressed, and leads me to the table shower, where I get a head to toe cleansing with lots of playful attention to my package and to the back door. By the time she dries me off Mr Happy is at full attention!  That always gets her giggling, as she tries to sneak me to the sauna.

Once in the sauna I'm on my own for about 5 minutes. I've never had a girl join me, maybe one day.  Then she gets me and brings me into our private massage room, and gives me an excellent massage. Every part of the body is worked over, except the package.

Then the sensual part starts, and this is where it pays to stick with one girl.  I picked this girl because the first time I had a massage with her she was awesome in all phases, including the happy ending.  The more I see her, the more we do.  It started with her being fully clothed, allowing my hands to 'roam' a little.  Now we end up fully naked together, body to body massage, with everything available except full service, which isn't allowed at this MP but will probably happen at some point, as we have come ever so close to it. That is why I chose a place with private rooms, so there isn't any interruptions (the doors lock).  And the Mama San never bothers us, even if we run over in time, which happens often enough.

Afterward, she brings me back to the dressing room & helps me get dressed, a real nice touch. Even ties my shoes and combs my hair!  The only bad part is that she takes breaks to go back to her native land, but she always returns in a month or so.  I try out other AMPs (and Indies, who I am always visiting) in her absence, even though Mama-San tries to get me to visit with her other girls.  So far, I haven't found any that come close to what I have, even after repeated visits.

I know some like variety, and I'm not opposed to that at all. But I have had many a lame massage & mechanical HE in my day, and have found that the more time spent with one special masseuse, the better the experience!
