I am relatively new to the hobby and it seems that most established providers need a few references before even considering an appointment.  Does anyone have any suggestions of providers? I am more than willing to go through a background check etc. but without references it has reduced me to browse the backpages and have mixed encounters.  Any and all help is appreciated.  I would really love to set something up this weekend if possible.

.... 1 reference alone isn't enough for me either but I have lots of alternative screening methods .

emailing a few providers and simply asking.  There are those that do their screening in other ways.  It doesn't hurt to ask, if they say "no" move on.  Just be honest and explain your situation...Good luck. Luck

 
on Backpages you can find girls that give out whitelist on here and/or are on P411. searching: reviews, reviewed, ID, etc can make backpages a lot easier. also, expand you search to DC as well. Click on the guys that reviewed her and see if she gave out a whitelist or what-have-you. Key is to be memorable so they don't forget you when a girl wants a reference from them.  

See a girl a couple of times to build rapport and get a reference to move onto the next girl. Sometimes you have to take an attraction/skill loss to get the 10 in your eyes for the future. Then you can build a team/starting lineup of your personal 10's and if one leaves you have the references to add another girl to the lineup
