Has any noticed if the new casino having impact on hotel prices in the BWI/Anne Arundel Mills area ?

Did anyone go the opening of the Casino last night, if so how was it ?

Didn't got but numerous reports of a total traffic nightmare.

Will there be a parking garage built? Gambling in Maryland sounds like a boondoggle.

These parking spaces are reserved for the VIP's, and I'm sure you gotta spend a crap load of money just to park there. I just got back from that place, and its right next to Marshall's (literally right next to the mall). Finding a parking space was difficult, and I had to park in the middle of the parking lot of the mall and walk all the way to the left to get to the casino. When I got there, there was two lines that stretch all the way to the front of the casino. The entrance is on the side. I saw that line and waited for like half an hour and only got to the middle of the line and decided to leave.

I went like around 6:00PM, and that might be a busy time. I've spoken to the staff, and they told me that the lines have been like this throughout the day. Not sure what is the best time to avoid those lines. I've spoken to the people that just came out of the casino, and they told me that the casino is very large. They have this gigantic bar in the center of the casino. They also said that there were many restaurants located inside the casino, and some other new restaurants are still opening. Some of these restaurants will run you like $60 a plate. They also commented on the layout. They said that it is an open and spacious casino, and there are some corners in different sections for different types of games.

I checked their website out, but was unable to find their entertainment section. Hopefully they can provide an entertainment section such as live music or a show in the future. That's all I know.

Thanks for the info on the traffic. That is going to mess up guys going to BWI and baltimore for hobby appointments.

Enter these coordinates on google map, 39.155597, -76.744418 and press search. This is the exit to arundel mills blvd from 295 to Baltimore. However, when you go back to these coordinates to get to 295 to Washington, that green arrow is where they are doing their construction. Basically, they force you to go back to 295 to Baltimore instead of 295 to Washington. Anyhow, its a bit of a stumble, just thought I'd bring it up.

They also constructed some new hotels around arundel mills.

I saw those hotels, some of them are massive compared to the ones at BWI.
