I had been out of the hobby for a while because of the declining prospects of my employer. But very recently having gotten an opening at a new employer, I have starting seriously perusing the ad sites. And I have to say that the picking are very slim. At this point in my hobby career I know that a hobbyist has to pick through a lot of ads to find a girl he might seriously consider but it's gotten sad.  
   I went through my favorites and deleted girls whose ratings have fallen or nothing's been posted recently. After this pruning I found that I had more favorites from other locations (NYC and Tidewater area of VA) than I had from here. Anyone got any up and comers?

Yeah, gotta be honest, it is. Got spoiled by good experiences in the early to mid aughts going the BP route. But the bottom has really dropped out in quality since 2010.

also the few  agencies around seem to have the same type of models.i.e similar physical traits.

With the internet being so easily available you will find more.

Sabrina Secks has become one of my favorites in the area when I am traveling through. She is absolutely incredible and open to experimentation.

Way too many pages to find real ads. The quality is deplorable compared to a few years ago with that escort mall.

After 2010 the quality of girls on the more popular pages went down. As far as escorts who regularly work this area, there aren't that many. Compared to NYC, where there's everything from BP girls, to brothels, to pros, I must have over twenty girls on my favorites list. Quiet as it's kept, the Tidewater area of VA has a wide selection of reputable providers. The best approach might be to develop a rotation here and then go to NYC or VA for variety.

just show up on time, dont haggle rates or services, be clean. those are the basics, for me at least.

i would understand if he had stellar dates (reviews and scores reflect otherwise) prior to those years, but his complaint (comment, whatever) just isn't falling in line since he has had bad dates prior to...

This gives the impression that he's either not doing his research or that he's not sure what it is that he wants. Maybe he's booking last minute and going with anyone who will take him, idk? Ladies like to be prepared; when we are in our zone, we can better please you. Who sees someone who's got luggage on the bed and answering their phone in the middle of giving a blow job? His ratings reflect the kind of choices he makes, some good, some not so good.  

I worked eight to twelve hr. 4P-Mid shifts during the week, so I had to book weekends, which a lot of ladies don't work. Most of the poorly rated reviews were from the women I could find working a weekend afternoon or evening. With my new job, I will be working morning-afternoon shift, so my schedule will be more in line with the hours preferred by working girls. It also helps that I will have a significant increase in pay and OT if I want it.

If your schedule doesn't allow for pre-booking, check out the "available now" feature on P411 and cross check those ladies with TER to see what other reviewers have said...some of the ladies you saw were reviewed with low numbers well before you went to see them. Don't TOFTT! See some touring ladies, they normally have extended hours. See someone that offers GFE so you'll have more of an experience and less of a transaction. Don't settle for what you can get...do your homework and go for what you want! Be patient; when the mood strikes and who and what you want isn't available, take matters into your own hands, and save your money for when the time IS right. Get a few new, positive reviews under your belt, and maybe some whitelist referrals. Don't gamble, strategize! Lol! Good luck to you!

If you choose to, the place to be seems to be BWI or Columbia, maybe north Baltimore County. But allow me to extolling the virtues of the city. During working hours, the city is packed with professionals with disposable income. And whereas workers in the county would have to drive some distance to see you and then have to drive home, in the city, most of your callers could hail a cab or Uber. There are plenty of hotels in the Inner Harbor, Inner Harbor East, or Midtown.

The (nearly unanimous) advice that I was given was that hosting near BWI was all around the best idea.
But you're suggesting something different.  
And for reasons that make a lot sense.

He's making the case that benefits him. And I wish it were a case that I could get behind because I much prefer downtown Baltimore to BWI and the burbs, but I hear crickets when I have incall there.

Have to say that this may be the case. In a thread I started about this subject (touring in the city) no less than Cayden Vaughn said that she did more business in the county than she did in the city. But the right kind of provider, someone edgier and younger may be able to crack the city. Give the city a try for two or three days to see what happens.

Ladies seem to make a go of it in NYC, Philly, D.C., Houston, Dallas, LV, etc, etc.

I haven't spent time in all of them but I have a few.  From what I know, at least NY, LV, and DC are cities people will go into for a night of entertainment.  They're destinations - Baltimore does not seem to fall into that category.

There are plenty of new residents moving in and housing prices and rents are increasing year over year. There are three multi billion dollar projects that are rolling out (State Center, Port Covington, and Canton Crossing). I will admit that the Central Business District has been allowed to decline, but it is still a place of major employment. Then there is sports tourism, where tens of thousands come and go from March to January. If holders and managers of capital large and small will make investments in Baltimore, I think there are opportunities for an enterprising escort or agency to make a go of it here.  
  The challenge is to getting established in a neighborhood that is deemed safe. This requires paying a premium in a lease or mortgage. Another challenge would be discretion, because safe neighborhoods have very involved community organizations which track everything from illegal activity to housing code violators. I have felt that the best place for an escort or agency in call would be midtown, Mt. Vernon or Seton Hill, or farther north, Station North, Old Goucher, Charles Village, or along University Pkwy. The main advantage being that anyone working, staying in town, or residing in central Baltimore could take a taxi or black car service to and from these incalls for about the price to park a car in a downtown garage. As for discretion, these areas have sufficient foot traffic from the businesses during the day and bars and restaurants during the night that guests would go unnoticed.  
   The problem with the touring provider model is that the fixed costs, those that don't react to the level of business activity, vary from hotel, from the day of the week, or the mode of transportation. There is no way to amortized capital costs to leverage against variable costs, costs which change with the level of activity. Working from an apartment or leased property might ameliorate some of this problem but then leases and rents increase, landlords may decide not to allow you to renew, or the property could be sold to new owners

I feel that their are several ladies in the hobby that are expecting way too much these days; however, there are also some very lovely local ladies and a couple of agencies that seem great with every reasonable expectations.  

Local ladies.  I don't think that providers in general have good marketing skills.  They keep their rates the same as whether you're local or non=local.  How about,  "if I see you in the next 45 days, you'll get a reduced consideration ?"  I know things are tough, but, sometimes the thought of a discount will bring volume and keep men loyal.  Just sayin' and no disrespect at all.  Take a fresh look

I think the thing to remember is that if you want incall in Baltimore within an easy taxi or uber ride, there is the Block.  It's pretty safe, the police obviously know about it and if they raided it weekly it wouldn't exist.  So that's a safe place for the lunchtime crowd to go.  That's going to cut into any sort of downtown business.
