Why don't you

How nosey do you think your family friend is? Will he/she enter your hobby email into google?  I accidentally texted a provider from my regular cell number and not my Sideline number.  She sent me a text in the evenings around dinner time with the following message: Can wait to see you tomorrow!   My wife sat next to me when the text popped up on my screen.  She then asked me who the text was from...I almost died when that happened...   I survived, but it could have turned ugly.

email him from your "work" account so he can have the three accounts now...

I think a lot of people have multiple emails for different reasons, at least many of my friends do. I know that if I were to receive an email from a friend's alternate address, my first thought wouldn't be "oh let me Google this and see what I find". I would just be "oh it's Chef, I guess he used the wrong email today" and that would be it. Hopefully that is how your friend handles it and it is water under the bridge.  Good luck!

I feel for you chica i've had the same shit happen to me before FML Except i sent an email from my real address rather than my hobby one it sucked. Lucky for me though I was able to play it off, I told the other person i just bought the iPhone from some kind on CL and haven't synced my info yet. Hopefully your family friend isn't nosy and will just think of you as a weirdo for having an odd email. I wouldn't even act suspicious or anything.

i'm not a provider (but i love what you ladies do, thanks by the way). however i do have a professional email account and several others (personal, hobby, blogging, etc).

i only email from my phone on my professional account.  everything else i email on my ipad or home computer.

sorry thigs happened to you but that's the very reason i don't mix accounts on my phone, esp. my hobby account!

don't use apps ad only use my browser to read and send.  This keeps me from easily pulling a contact up.  Also, I use a different e-mail service for personal vs. play.  It adds more steps but helps me avoid mixups.  I'm now even more glad I do it that way.  Texting on the other hand I have to be more careful with.

I would agree that the friend probably would not think to google it.  Plus you used a innocent sounding e-mail address.  If you had been using something like miahugfor69fun@______ that the friend might have gotten curious enough about to google.

Well... hopefully you didn't send the same message from both email accts. And hopefully, he won't recognize you from the blurred photos on your website if he should happen to Google your (miahug...) email. Hopefully he's the type of guy who's  upstanding, decent, and very discreet. So, hopefully you have some dirt on him as well! (haha...j/k)

Just on the off chance he doesn't put 2 and 2 together, I wouldn't mention anything... unless he brings it up first. I guess it could even be worse though - he could email you back for an appointment! Yikes! :

I unfollowed as quickly as I could- I think she knows by now but it was rather embarrassing then. I've also sent off emails from the wrong account that read 'xoxox Harlowe,' as well as accidentally signed 'Cheers, (my real name)' on a Harlowe email. Serves me right for answering emails before coffee... :/
I hope everything goes alright with your family friend!

Talking about privacy and past lifes. I once worked for a Fortune 500 company and had a meeting set up with some of the internal IT department folks. In walks an Asian girl that looked familiar but I couldn't place her. Her name was Grace Quek which is kind of unique sounding. A quick Google search revealed that her adult life name was Annabel Chong aka the first girl who did a 100+ gang bang. Every meeting I had with her afterwards was hard to not think about her "other" life.

It's a small world and you will run into people at the most random places.

I have a separate Hobby e-mail and I have a Iphone.  When you are sending e-mails on Iphones, it is really easy to make this mistake.  In my case, I was able to talk my way out of it, but I still think this person has their suspicions.  For you, it's different because they could find out a lot more by googleing your e-mail address.  Can you try talking to this person and explain your way out of it

On iOS I use a mail app called pMail exclusively for my...um...private email. It is password protected and set up so the notifications don't go to the lock screen. So no cross-pollution of accounts. If  have a similar app on my desktop for that reason

This is exactly why i have different emails with different email apps. It is also the reason I use the Sideline app for hobby texting and talking.

Sorry to hear about the accidental email.

There could be other scenarios:

Your family friend receives the MiaHug account email, and due to unknown sender, it could be put into "SPAM" folder, and possibly never to be read

Your family friend receives the MiaHug account email, doesn't recognize the sender, just won't read it

Your family friend (the person) receives and reads the MiaHug email and depends on the content/his time availability, doesn't think anything of it, nothing gets mentioned

The person receives the email, reads it, and it confirms what he might have already known, because he is also a hobbyist, but has chosen not to contact MiaHug; he will either choose to contact you or leave the topic alone

The person receives the email, follows through on googling, and learns more about MiaHug, and will decide not to call you out/let anyone know

The person receives the email, and he is excited because he has always the hots and the heart for you and how it could be a great opportunity for him to finally "meet you" and support you as "MiaHug"

With so many possibilities, maybe your response could be to see how it will play out and no need to proactively do anything ..., until this family friend takes the next move/informs you of the information...

Maybe he could be your guardian/supporter to you as "MiaHug"

I once had a former work colleague outed to me as a provider.  I knew that she had a vengeful psycho ex, and I was copied on an email from an anonymous account that was sent to several different company HR departments.  At the time I had recently run into her, she mentioned that she was looking for a new job, so we had a few emails back and forth where I hooked her up with some people I knew were looking for an assistant, which is probably why I was copied into the email.

So, I saw her ad, saw her reviews here on TER, definitely her.

What did I do about it?  Nothing.  It's entirely her business; I just hope she got that douchebag out of her life for good.

Luckily I told her one of my friends had logged into her account on my phone and I did not realize she was still logged in. I'm hoping her absolute ignorance was in play there since the email is ELSPETHENCOUNTER... I think everything is fine.

LOL @ sucking pasta!

Come to think of it, I think I've heard many a woman moan and pant a little while eating some delicious looking pasta in a well reviewed Italian restaurant. :P

Two phones:
1 for work
1 for play

Well, that's not everything.  The rest, Bill taught me ;-)

Sorry that happened to you Mia.

I use to have my personal and play email account on my first smartphone and on multiple times I almost sent emails from the wrong account.  After receiving an unintentional email from an acquaintance in the “floating world” I decided it would just be safer to keep things a bit more separate.

Now I don’t even do emails from my phone, sometimes being a little less connected is good (might just be a GenX or possibly even a me thing lol) especially when work tries to abuse the fact that we all have smartphones.  I let everybody know I only email from my laptop and that's for every community I belong to :
