Well folks, tomorrow is the big M&G, and boy oh boy, what a line up! Phew! The most beautiful prestigious names in Cali, all in one room. Lol....oh yeah and me too (ba-dum-bum cymbal crash) I've had my dress picked out for two weeks, I'm nervous as hell.

I have a very love/hate relationship with social appearances. I love meet and greets because it gives people a chance to see what i"m like in person, which is great because its never really how they pictured me personality-wise. I also hate em though because I'm a little shy sometimes at first, and I get overwhelmed. I'll spend hours getting ready, agonize over shoes and hair for a week, and as I'm getting ready, in my mind I'm going "All these girls are so beautiful, and they have boobs! you're gonna be invisible. Don't be invisible." and soon as i get there i focus on a quiet spot and beeline for it. Why? Because I'm a queenbee, and thats not the same as a social butterfly. Damnit.

I reckon that maybe guys feel that way too? Like a spider, theyre more afraid of you than you are of them kinda thing. I like to think that maybe someone out there is shy like I am, maybe not very good at approaching your target. Maybe there is a lady that you really want to meet very badly and you're going just to meet them, and they don't even know it. This blog is for you, shy socially awkward folks, i feel your pain. I know that most are going to meet everyone, but i also know that for some of you, theres someone particular that you came for specifically that has no idea.

**** This is NOT a popularity contest for attention whores (literally huh? lol) but rather a genuinely meant opportunity for folks who are more introverted to mention someone they really want to see. Maybe then, that person will see it and voila! they will make it a point to come meet you as well.

Hell I'll start- I can't wait to see Amsterdam. She's my best friend and she moved away and i miss her everyday. Even though I know her all ready, she's still beautiful everytime i see her, and i know that the whole thing will be so much easier because she's there.

there are several ladies i am looking forward to meeting in the flesh for the first time.  i figure i'll just introduce myself and take it from there.  i can't imagine anybody not wanting to have a good conversation and a nice evening.

i can't wait!

My goal is to meet as many people as possible, to see old and new friends.  Let down your guard, put on your best smile, and have a great time.  Bond and Kate organizes these parties for you, the attendees.  They've done the hard part in securing an awesome location (Thank you!).  It is up to you to dictate the success of the party.  If you need a bit of help, look for me or your party hosts.  It'll be great to meet some of you board mongers and lurkers.  I'll be around, giving away hugs and kisses like there's no tomorrow.  If you're a guy, you'll just be getting a hug.  Anything more will cost you extra.

This is only the second M&G I have ever been to. Personally I hope to be able to place a few faces with board names. Maybe enjoy some flirty conversation and connect on professional level with as many of the other providers who will allow me to say hello.

If I am lucky I can do all of that without spilling my drink or tripping.

QueenBee, I don't have the boobs either, so you are not alone.  There is definitely a place in the world for gals with smaller chests.  Just dress for your type and show off the parts you do rock, and carry yourself with confidence and poise.    

I get nervous when going to the M&Gs too.  I prefer to have just a couple of great conversations rather than work the room.  I find it funny that I have no problem performing on a stage or singing for strangers or embarrassing myself to make others laugh, but when it comes to walking up to a stranger to have a conversation, I get shy all of a sudden.

I'll be seeing an old friend of mine tomorrow and I do hope if you see me you will say hi.  If I spot you first I will do the same.

And for the lurkers on the board, if you hanging around and you do want to meet me, feel free to send me a PM before tomorrow evening!

There is one lady in particular I am hoping to meet. And it is ironic, because with ALL the women in LA, dantananot already listed her above: Monet Lyon.

My problem is, that with the blurry pics of her on her website, I don't know that I would recognize her if I were standing next to her! So, I may come up to you some time and ask you to point her out to me.

You have nothing to worry about.....You looked fabulous at the last M&G and you immediately caught my attention and I just had to meet you.I am glad that Kate introduced me to you and I look forward to seeing you again on Tuesday! If it makes you feel more comfortable we can always bust out a duet from your favorite Broadway show.

Is that going to be your whole purpose for walking up to her? Why not have a nice conversation with her. Then at the end if you have not met the lady your looking for then maybe ask her? Would you like it if the shoe was on the other foot. A beautiful woman walks up to you. You think wow she is coming to talk to me only to have her ask you if you know which person is so and so? Probably not a very good feeling your going to be having after that. Maybe ask the party host or another gentleman. I am sorry if I read that wrong but, that the context I got from your post.

As they say, more than a handful is wasted.

What I meant to ask in my message was if BeatPoet would mind if I asked HIM to point HER out to me. At that point I would be on my own. I agree, the way you interpreted it, I sound pretty pretty lame, maybe I still am!

I am aware there will be a variety of wonderful women to talk with, and I hope to meet as many as I can. My post was just responding to the original post. There IS one I am particularly looking to meet.

So many girls to meet and/or get reacquainted with.  I tend to get a little shy at these things myself and have to hide behind my drink and smokes for the first hour or so, but things eventually get loose and I always end up meeting a beautiful girl or two... or three... you see where I'm going with this.  Very much look forward to meeting the Queen Bee and seeing some old friends.  Look for a guy with long hair drinking by himself and come say hello ( :
