Using the shuttle makes a lot of sense. I live nearby and traffic is horrible. If you don’t have a shuttle pass as part of your package I’d suggest trying to buy one. I think they’re about $50.
Hillary is right about the Coachella crud cough. That said, it’s not bad the first week. It gets worse week 2 and really bad for Stagecoach. I got it at Desert Trip a couple years ago and was sick for a month. Many people wear a bandanna over their mouth and nose to avoid breathing the dust.
Agreed. A pair of these: https://www.amazon.com/Earasers-HEM001-Musicians-Plugs-Medium/dp/B00E2D9HAA are absolutely critical.
I have a set of custom molded "ear filters" that knock 15db off and are totally flat, but those were pretty expensive and you have to get your ears molded at an audiologist. If you're willing to drop some cash and can deal with the unpleasantly they are very, very nice.
I've linked to where I bought mine below, if you're interested.
$200 is for the custom molded fancy ones that I have. Probably overkill for most, but they're very comfy and if you go to a ton of shows it's worth it to have something nicer. I use my earasers for the casual bar show because you can't tell I'm wearing them. My fancy ones are very, very obvious.
