And with sites like Citivibe and BP shutting down, expect legit providers to get creative in seeking ways to maintain access to current hobbyists and gain access to new ones.  

 I wouldn’t be surprised if TER closes their Advertisements boards.  Passage of this so-called Anti-Trafficking Bill is going to impact this industry big time.  Would not be surprised to see independent providers affiliating with agencies.

TER isn't based in the US, so I wouldn't expect this bill to do much, if anything, to them.

 

Also, if you're making a new, mutual, website, make sure it's not hosted stateside, and don't use a domain name that ICANN is in charge of.

The address I found for TER's parent company was here in LA (I just did "about us" then a quick google search) so considering that, I'm not altogether surprised. :(

Last I checked, TER was based in Cypress (an island off turkey).

 

They have a server in the bay area, which will probably have to be moved elsewhere, and their .com domain is run by ICANN, a US entity.

 
That said, I have no idea how the company is set up, and removing the ad boards certainly points to them being under US jurisdiction. I'm betting that the admins/owners are all American and TER could come back to them somehow.

1. Save time and trouble looking for Russian Ladies, especially with the recent trouble with ads on some websites. Maybe less bait-n-switch and maybe UTR options in member area?
2. Save time and trouble with screening.
3. Maybe save time and trouble with possible backup if one is not available?

Is it time to welcome a new wave of Russian invasion (the good kind)? ;)
