I had an experience last week that made me curious about a certain aspect of pay-for-play that isn’t often discussed here.  I was meeting some friends for dinner at one of the newer upscale hotels in town, and arrived a little early.  So I went to the hotel bar for a drink, and ended up chatting with a young woman who I’m almost certain was there looking for paid dates.  I wasn’t there for that purpose, and didn’t take the conversation any further in that direction, and, because I'm quite risk averse, I probably would never choose to use this route for any extracurricular activities in any case.

But having heard about certain hotel bars that cater to this kind of activity, and not having any personal experience going this route, my encounter with this young woman did leave me curious about how commonplace it is to find girls working these upscale hotels in town and about related questions, like whether the girl I spoke to was working for a pimp, or really trying to set up a robbery, or whether she may have been a police decoy, etc. I know the answer to all of these questions is possibly yes and possibly no, but I’m wondering what participants here think the probabilities are on average. Does anyone here, whether provider or hobbyist, have any insight?
