Sonos is a commitment to a system, but if you get it, it will change your relationship to your music. It's a sober full system with way above average sound.
You should look at it as a complete system. It will only sound as good as the weakest link. If you are watching TV then the sound won't be great no matter what. If you are watching DVD then the sound will be better, but it also depends on how good a player you have, etc etc.
for a full Emerson of sound i would go with a full setup rather than just a sound bar. depending on the budget you will want two front, two smaller rear, a center and a subwoofer. you will also need a receiver to control everything.
