I have traveled the world and home is where you hang your hat. There are many beautiful places in the world but each have their own culture. the perfect place is where you feel the most comfortable. I Plan on retiring in a month or so. I have my house on the river is Southern OR.  I have the trees the animals, and the river, The only drawback is the hobby sucks.

Great movie! Read up on Roman history, specifically Emperor Tiberious, next time your visiting Capri or Rome. It's fascinating!  

I love Rome. Stayed right behind the Roman Steps and in front of the park near the American embassy. Had great (very late) dinners. A lot of fun in the summer, as the heat and outdoor cafes are alive at night. In fall or spring, prefer Tuscany and Piedmont - and Venice at Easter time. In winter, skiing in the Dolomites in Cortina. And, if you have a great boat, sailing around Sardinia and Sicily.
