"polyamorous" has been my natural relationship orientation since long before I even knew the word (or was old enough to have relationships!), and so I've built my companionship life around pursuing/enjoying these more these meaningful, more connected relationships. I'm not so sure I would describe this as being a sugar baby; I'm just being me.

 

I think I'd disagree with this. In my experience sugar babies get paid a lower hourly wage than most escorts (err, at least if you're using 300hr as an average, that is). A substantial amount of their pay is also frequently in goods rather than cash, i.e. use of a car, trips to the mall, use of a credit card, etc.

 
I have had monthly or package arrangements with some of my regulars which some people would see as a SD/SB situation. While I've never accepted gifts in lieu of payment, they are privy to a much better rate for my time than gentlemen who don't visit me on a regular basis. The more often they visit and the longer they stay, the better the deal.

 
As for "less work"? Hardly. It's exactly the same thing. I don't care if you call it sugaring or escorting, if I'm going out to dinner with someone, then maybe to a show or walk along the pier, then back to my place (or theirs) it's the same exact thing and you can bet I'm putting in effort to make sure I'm keeping the gentleman entertained and happy. Escorting & sugaring has never really been easy money... at least not if you want to be successful for any significant period of time. It's a job like any other and contrary to popular belief it involves a lot more than simply laying on your back and sitting there.

I was asked to be a sugar baby for a very high amount of money each month, multiple times in person from men not on escort websites, and with expensive cars offered as well. I declined because it may seem like an easy job for some people but not to others. It's easier to mentally drain me with long conversation and activities for full days than physically drain me in bed for a few hours haha. It's not for me.

I have just started to venture on a sugar baby website. My thought is sometimes being on the clock with a lady is not always  good. It does seem that "civilian" ladies today are more open with an arrangement like this than ever before.

Many years ago I did have an 2 year arrangement and it was wonderful. I have never found anything like that since.  

But I do agree with DeLaine - I think the hourly rate for a sugar baby would be much less than an escort.

The setup time for a sugar baby is much longer. After many emails - have not found the one to meet. And no idea on a sugar baby performance level. At least an escort, the performance level should be as stated in reviews or the menu she offers before we meet.

IMO it doesn't matter whether you're with a sugar baby or an escort. You're always on the clock. No matter how you look at it, you're still paying for companionship. The main difference is only that with escorts you're looking at an hourly rate, and with sugar babies you're looking at a monthly rate for x nights per week (or whatever).  
I guess it may "feel" different for some guys but I personally think it's just a game of semantics. We're all doing the same thing at the end of the day.

I agree with that "ladies first" bit. Men needs to treat their ladies as such. With respect and with class. Maybe with a naughty streak to make sure you're on the same page.

Arrangements make me actually feel like I'm wanted and I love the cuddling, kissing and intimacy that goes a long with it. When I use to leave "sessions", I would feel good in one way but sad and unfulfilled in another. I had a couple girls that would get upset for "wasting their time" when I was trying to be flirtatious after we had been together 10+ times. It just made me feel used.
