What ever happened to just having a rational argument...Nowadays people have to resort to pussy this, bitch that, your a pussy, your a bitch....calling you names and such when that just ruins the whole argument....and moves away from the whole point.
I miss the days when Alexander Hamilton had his duel with Aaron Burr..Now there was a manly way to settle an argument. No name calling or using foul language.(unless you got shot because that would hurt like a mother....but that's beside the point).
Can we ever have a nice argument without resorting to name calling? Because it hurts me when you cant.

You have insulted so many people on this board and then when we try to take this private, you go and block people from private messaging you. That is a manly way of handling people that disagree with you. Keep putting everyone on ignore because soon you will be all alone.

1. Specifically, who have I insulted without them insulting me first. You said I have insulted "many" people on this board and I want you to point out who. Don't include yourself because YOU took the potshot at me first when YOU responded on a thread by LA********* about me specifically.
2. Show to me where I STARTED an argument by name calling or insulting. I must have STARTED the thread and specifically started name calling someone. Show examples.
3. What are my board antics to the k-girls that bring unwanted attention? Be specific.

I would agree. There's no more dignified debate in this new century. People love to label a loser in an argument and thumb them down to the lions. The crowd reaction in debates are just like high school gatherings now. Losing with dignity has disappeared. If you don't win an argument you're just a loser now. The workplace like everywhere else has become an arena.
We would probably need another civil war, or a world war with more than half the world population dying before people see value in civilized debate again.
When you get pulled into these long threads and start taking on all comers, it's only a matter of time until it degenerates into the sort of childish name calling to which you refer.
Since you can't make everyone suddenly become more articulate, erudite, or rational, the only thing YOU can do is quit engaging them in these sort of discussions. When a thread starts going south, make your point and stop posting! Because if you continue and need to get the last word, or even just feel you need to keep defending yourself, all you're really doing is encouraging the sort of behavior you wish to eliminate.
