There's a good deal of panic happening right now, so I'll share some things that I've found to be reliable over the years -
Secured cloud storage: Spideroak.com -- zero-knowledge
VPN: nordvpn.com -- EXTREMELY easy to use, cheap, and fast. The only one I've found that's reliable & simple to setup with NO DNS leak. Also zero-knowledge.
Secured messenger: Signal -- also does secured phonecalls
Secured email: protonmail -- keep in mind that unless you're also sending email to someone using a secured service, it's no longer secured email.
For the ladies: SafeOffice -- tons of great tools for us here including truly offshore secured email, file storage, contacts, calendar, etc. $20/mo and worth every penny.
Secure delete/file shredder: Freeraser -- yep it's free!
Secure hard drive creation: DiskCryptor
Free-speech oriented web hosting: OrangeWebsite -- an Icelandic company. Haven't tried them yet, but I'm tempted to switch soon. You'll need a web developer if you don't know how to set up your own stuff.
Just a reminder to stay away from anything that lets you "log in with google" or "log in with Facebook" or similar - these are instant privacy killers. Always have a recovery email. Use 2-step verification whenever possible. TOR has been more trouble than it's worth in my experience (you get blocked by a ton of sites for using it).
Always, always, always have a passcode lock on your phone - NOT a thumbprint or other password substitute. Make sure that it's set to instantly engage when you turn off your screen. Android also has some options to lock specific apps.
ALWAYS have a password on ALL of your devices for that matter. Make sure you set it to zap your personal info if a password is entered incorrectly too many times (you'll find this under your security settings).
Do NOT ever let your browser store form data or save your passwords. This is the fastest way ever to give someone access to your personal info & all of your accounts. I suggest private browsing mode in Firefox.

I modified this and made a blog post for my AskDeLaine blog, so I figured I'd post this bit here as well:
Go through ALL of your privacy settings on Google (their Privacy Checkup is a good place to start) and on all of your social media accounts. You’ll be surprised to know how much info these apps share about you automatically. You MUST turn it off yourself, and even then it still shares quite a bit. If you use social media, you don’t have privacy online. Google automatically stores every search term you use, every website you visit, every photo you upload into your contacts (and it may be sharing it automatically on Google Plus), every video you watch on YouTube, and unless you turn it off it will also store all of your live location info. Scary eh?
Facebook and LinkedIn automatically comb through your contacts, and Twitter will do it too if you give them permission. Be aware of how these apps use your data, and if you have to use them, make sure you lock it down as much as possible. Turn off the “share my location” or “tag my location” on your social media. Do not post photos directly from your phone - use an exif data remover before posting your photos.
You absolutely saved me a tremendous amount of time and stress today. Thanks for keeping the positive vibe out here for us girls in Los Angeles. Do you have any advice on how we can more safely mention donations ? Much appreciated.

As for mentioning donations, your guess is as good as mine there. It's not illegal to charge a fee in exchange for your time, but you definitely don't want to make it appear as though you're willing to cross that line, even in a wink-wink-nudge-nudge sort of way.
Personally I keep all of my ad copy and website copy completely benign but I'm going to go a step further and I'm going to remove any terms that could be considered industry-related such as GFE, incall, outcall, etc. Reason being, if GoDaddy and other web hosts decide to crack down then what they may do is create a crawler that looks for certain terms. I *might* be able to fly under the radar if I don't have those terms in my website copy, and I don't want to risk being banned from various advertising venues for having those same terms in my ads. I figure it's better safe than sorry, which is a mantra I live by these days lol.
I know P411 has always been considered a good and safe source. Is now the time to sign up ? Or, too much exposure ?
...and operated in Canada, subject to Canadian law. I assume at this point they are all set. Same with Eros, as they are Swiss.

I can add that bleachbit is free and I discovered it from Hillary Clinton comments ! lol I sleep better using it to shred my tracks. The escortbook support people have been super helpful and they are all out of U.S. reach and have a long and reputable history.
Do you know if there is a third party ID verification system ? I am a full time student with a future ahead of me and I'm scared to death to send my ID, attached to my face that holds up unique industry ID attachments. I can't sleep at night thinking what would happen if those collective databases were hacked and spun my life into a AshMad grand reveal. I have no problem verifying my age or my looks, but would pay for a ID verify system.
During this time of unknowns, I have been responding with "netflix & chill" compensation suggestions and so far, no one has balked at it ! I'm encouraged that the collective will find a way to find new wordage for us all to meet a common ground.
