I would love to hear the pov of both gents and ladies on the topic of both providers and hobbyists that have frequent name / identity changes. Is it totally acceptable to change city / state and change persona or handle and if so is there a limit ie. just once or twice or is every six months ok?

Infact  someone even started a thread about it on the OC board. Many men messaged me asking if i was real pretty much lol I think if you have reviews the best way to do it is to add both names to your TER review profile while you transition over otherwise some hobbyist willl likely recognize you and wonder why your using a new name.
So I think one or even two name changes are over the span of your provider career but once every six months seems fishy.

So you've spent considerable time building up your brand name and reputation.  From what I saw, your reviews are very good, and you have a nice website.

Why would you want to change that?

Business change names only when a PR hack advises them to change because their names are now toxic waste to the public.  I don't think any business starts the day saying "lets go out and make our reputation disappear, pay for all new rebranding and the expenses associated with that just for fun".

If you are looking to rebrand yourself, that's fine.  Just make sure and let the public know you are not some first timer and link back to your current profile.   Maybe that'll be good topic of conversation on your site as to the reason for rebranding.  Or not.   Just make sure you're doing for the right reasons.

A lady changing names and/or using multiple names is a red flag for me, too.

Choose your name and build your brand accordingly. Ask yourself if any brands you know/use (Tide, Apple, McDonalds, etc.) would change their name unless they were forced to (i.e. Kentucky Fried Chicken changing to KFC 'cause fried foods started to come across as  "unhealthy" to the general public).

That said, if you believe your name isn't generating business, then go ahead and change it, but do so cautiously. I'd suggest, if you do switch names, to completely alter the design of your website at the same time. Basically, you're starting over in the biz.

Thank you for the insight, but no I am not changing my name. Ive had it to long and worked too hard to start over lol. As Lilly said for the first 6 mo or so I too had a diff name and only changed it because I though Adrianna Azzure had more pizzaz lol:)
I posed the question because it just burns my hide when I see girls changing their name all willy nilly and using the same photos. I say "wait 6 mo. ago her name was x now its y. It just makes it harder for us honest gals who dont need to do that. Id say 1x or2x maybe 3x if youve been around for a while, but I know gals that change name and markets like underwear. lol jk.
just my .0

From Ms. Patricia to Madame Patricia just evolving for me, but I would say changing your name could make, or break your business.  Lucky for me I can afford to be picky.  lol Smile 4 me!

I couldn't imagine why a beautiful lady with outstanding reviews and a great website would want to change a thing!  I agree with you that it chaps my booty as well.
Take care!!

A local SD girl changed her name a while ago, announced it but one of her clients saw me and mentioned he didn't know where she had gone. I laughed and told him her new name and he was surprised because he had seen the name but didn't look at the ads because the name was new and he stuck to established locals.

So in short, the problem with changing your name is your regulars or even someone who only saw you once might have trouble re-finding you. Unless you are changing it to NOT be found - that's a different story.

1. They have a stalker.

2. They've done something that most hobbyists would find disturbing.

I could see a lady who started out as Lucy Rottencrotch rethinking her strategy and wanting to change her name to something more appealing like Amy Zingsnatch and not wanting people to know.  Sure its a total rebrand, but a good marketing move.   As mentioned previously, theres probably ladies that need to go UTR because of stalkers or blackmailers, hence a change in identity.  In both cases, the lady would probably contact her trusted regulars and let them know whats up.  It doesn't really bother me.

However, if I've never met the lady, I am somewhat suspicious of regular name changes.  But thats what TER is for, so as long as a hobbyist does his homework, it may be OK.
