Well, this thread made me go out and get tested. I'll be on edge til the results next week. sigh. Recommend everyone do the same, every 6 months or so.

I agree with some of the above. BBFS is definitely extremely dangerous. But here's the truth, according to latest CDC findings as well as epidemiology studies:

1. The chance of passing HIV from BBFS is less than 1%. Men passing it to women has higher chance of women passing it to men. That being said, it still is a risk not worth taking! Using condoms has been shown to be extremely effective in preventing this (few studies done show no seroconversion with using condoms over a 3 year period with serodiscordant couples).

2. Hep B is primarily passed through blood contact and sex while Hep C is rarely passed from sex (however the risk is still existant).

3. Concomitant STD's such as syphilis and chlamydia (both of which can exist without symptoms) pass other STD's much more effectively.

4. BBBJ and DATY are extremely low risk behaviors...extremely! The chance of a woman getting infected through CIM definitely exists while the other way around, though theoretically possible, has never been documented. Salivary enzymes destroy the HIV virus. That being said, any microtears could theoretically allow passage to occur but again this has never been shown in the real world to occur.

It's all a risk vs rewards thing. I'd say as long as you cover it up, you'll be fine!
