It would seem that LA has a plethora of good to very good AMP-girl reviews.  Here in Hawaii, we have fairly ubiquitous AMPs.  The problem is, their postings will picture girls that likely never worked there.  In almost all cases, there’s no way to know what’s going to be available without actually going in and asking for a line-up, which I find uncomfortable.  Furthermore, the ones that are available are often not nearly as hot as the ones pictured.  (Go figure!)  I do note that LA reviews suggest it is not unusual for Mamasan to substitute a different girl than the one pictured.  I wonder if this is pretty much to be expected or if it’s the exception?

I am going to assume  you mean KAAMP rather than AMP, which I have nominal experience with. The girls on the ad are overwhelmingly the same girl who appears from behind the door. However, having photo shopped ads and  old photos in the ads is not unheard off, mostly the girl in the photo is the girl that shows up.

When it comes to quantity and quality of K-girls LA is the capital of this country , maybe of  the World outside of  Korea.

or more.

Look for telltale signs of unusual flare from waistline to hips.  Look to the reviews for truth.  If you like gals who are thin, make sure the review says skinny or thin.  Average would indicate a girl has love handles, or more.

But after the session, when I go back an look at the pics, 9 times out of 10, I would say the girl in the pic is definitely the girl I saw.

That said, we have it great in LA.  For comparison, look at the NY board, especially posts by Bad_Dog, who knows the NY Asian scene as well as anyone (at least anyone I know), and he will tell you 9 of 10 Asians in NYC are using fake pics.

Sorry, I don't know the distinction or the acronym.  Please enlighten.

Just to clarify the differences. AMPs (the commercial storefront type) in LA generally do not advertise online. There was a major purge/shutdown of AMPs about 5 years ago in LA & Orange County. Although many have come back, the better looking and better service girls have gone to AAMPs (thus the higher rates). So, there has been a growth of AAMP-girls, who primarily advertise on a popular escort mall that is well-known. Also, AAMPs operate differently from AMPs. They do not have "mamasans", either onsite or otherwise, or lineups. They have "bookers" who schedule all the appointments by phone. They will book the name you specify for a specific time. Certain AAMPs (or bookers) may put up fake pictures and/or substitute other girls, but this is not the norm, at least in my experience.

AAMP = Apartment Asian Massage Parlor or Asian Apartment Massage Parlor. Based in a residential apartment instead of a commercial storefront (AMP).
I assume Harpman is referring to a KAMP or Korean Apartment Massage Parlor (the extra A would be superfluous). CAMP would be Chinese AMP.

I'm just babbling, don't take anything as an affront. . . .

I think calling K-girls places "AAMPs" or "KAMPs" is kind of a misnomer, isn't it?  I've never liked that term, AAMP.   An AMP, which is truly a "massage parlor", has the indication of a place that you go get a massage. . . . but there are other things available.  K-girls are escorts.  That's what they are, that's what they are advertised as.  You go to a nice incall location, a private apartment or residence.    Pictures are usually real.  For the most part.  AMP pictures are NEVER real.  It's always some cute girl's face lifted from somewhere on the internet.  She does not work there.

AMPs are those places on the street that has a red and blue neon sign that says "OPEN".  Pay $50 for a half hour massage.  You walk in and put a towel to cover your ass.  There's a sign on the wall that says, "Please cover your genitals with towel".   You usually smell something "asian" cooking.  Sometimes there's yelling in Korean between mamasan and girls.   Homely or old gal walks in.    You sometimes hit the jackpot with a homely, old gal.  "You been here before?" is the usual greeting.  Not "Hello, nice to meet you".   Then, "You want hard or soft?"  Bad massage follows.  Maybe other things, like a manicure.  You leave a tip.  Walk out all greasy.

K-girls are escorts, not to be confused with girls that work at AMPs.  They escort you into their apartment where a gentleman enjoys the company of a young lady for a hour.  And a nice hour it is.

I beg to differ on advertising, AMPS do advertise online.  They advertise on BP under the massage section.

I actually like some AMPs that have real masseuses.  I got to a couple of places with actual skilled masseuses with nice girls.  And I get a "manicure" usually.   I like getting manicures.

AND, I have met some quality "providers" at AMPs, don't get me wrong.  But those are diamonds among coals, in my experience.

I only see independents Kgirl who may or may not have an assistant/booker to help schedule their appointments.  I never considered these providers to be AAMPs or am I incorrect.  Guess it doesn't really matter.

. . . And there actually are AAMPS (Apartment Asian Massage Parlours) out in the Rosemead/San Gabriel area, and I think there's a couple in Torrance and Burbank.  These are the places where it is actually a private residence, like an apartment or condo, and different girls work there.  You never know what you will get until you get there, pics are always fake.  These are the lower rate $150 - $160 gals as opposed to the k-girls you see on CV.  There was one outfit that had Chinese gals and they had a place near the Beverly Center, it was a two-bedroom apartment like a K-girl set up, but you never know what you get until you show up, so I definitely consider that a AAMP.
