Oh yeah, spending an hour in close proximity with another person is now "safe"???!!!

Hi all, so I’m writing this post hoping to get some advice.
Massage sessions are safe?
Of course no kissing, everything covered, etc...due to the pandemic.

Thank you,
XoXo
Sarah

Massage session should be relatively safe so long as both parties wear mask. Neither sweat, nor semen carry the virus so a happy ending can still be happy

I don't think anyone here--even those with an MD--could answer that question with high confidence. I think all the CDC and local public health agencies will tell you that close contact with an infected person raises your risk, period. I would guess most of the several million infected people didn't get it from kissing each other. But they were in close contact. And a massage is by definition close contact

If both parties wear properly fitted n95 masks (they pretty much have to leave a mark on your face to be tight enough) and never remove the mask, then maybe you are safe.

But stay in the same room, giving or receiving a massage for an hour  with just a cloth mask or the disposable blue mask everyone is wearing, you are most likely getting exposed to everything being exhaled by your partner including covid if they have it.

I think massages are safe just as long as both parties wash their hands before the massage begins. It is also best to stay at home if one of the parties has any symptoms.

you start on your stomach with your face in a cradle around a hole that allows you to breath.  I don't know how you would do that with a mask on without bruising your face.

See this is one of the problems about "masks" it lulls uninformed people into a false sense of security, and sometimes "at risk" people think it does a lot more to keep them safe than it actually does.

A mask is most likely "slightly" safer than no mask, but if the person you are with is COVID positive, it's HIGHLY unlikely to give you any significant protection.

If you want to work, work. I am the last person that's going to try to stop you, but please be realistic in how you assess your risk. Even in you aren't swapping spit with your customers, the chances of catching COVID by spending an entire hour in close quarters with an infected person, mask or no mask, are still off the charts.

For the record, I am NOT giving up sex, nor have I even slowed down in the frequency that I am seeing providers, but I am not going to lie to myself and try to convince myself that a mask as porous as the typical mask worn by most people is going to be much more effective that putting up a chain link fence around your yard in an effort to keep the mosquitos out.

Sooner or later , everyone is going to get this shit. A lot of people already had it and dont even know it. All this mask and social distancing was to lower the risk of too many people getting it at one time and overwhelming the hospitals. If you are someone who had other health issues, OR live with someone who has other health issues, you should stay away and be very cautious. Other wise go fuck the world and live your life the way you did last year.

I started off doing body rubs with prostate care way back...I just added it to my menu again because I feel it is a lower risk reduction for Covid if masks are worn. The more safer options I have available the better for everyone.  Stay healthy & safe my TER friends!
