I know this is not a typical kind of post, but I am well aware after being in Los Angeles, that most of you are involved in some way with the entertainment industry, and that you also have kind loving hearts.

Today, I learned of some very sad news. Someone I admire so very greatly is suffering from terminal cancer, and he is a remarkable man that all of you know of. He is the co-creator of our legendary Simpson's Cartoon. He was the pioneer to bring this style of Cartooning to the world. Shocking us with the characters and their lines, but even when we were shocked, we couldn't help but laugh. And this man's sense of humor wasn't limited to America. People from absolutely every country laughed and enjoyed his stories and comedy.

I first saw the Simpson's when I was in Ireland. I was madly in love at the time. My boyfriend was managing a hostel, and I was always hanging out there. At 7pm every evening, without fail, he would switch the TV to the Simpson's and everyone in the hostel from all different countries would watch it, and with all of our various accents and nationalities, we would all laugh as one. In a way, you might say that laughter could be the answer to bringing world peace. If you have so many people from all over the world, just laughing together, then there is a beautiful peaceful connection we all make to each other. I don't think people are quite aware of the magic, healing, joy and laughter and love that this show brought the world, and we all owe it now to this man who gave joy to us, to be praying for him, and hoping for his recovery. I can tell you also, that on one of those nights at 7pm, the Simpson's was playing and we were all laughing, and there was a bleep in the screen and then an airplane went flying into the towers of NYC. The show had been interrupted to tell us about the recent NYC tragedy, but it came on so fast, that we didn't realize it was the news! We thought it was still the Simpson's. When we finally understood it was real, we were in total shock. All of us from all different countries cried all together. I'll never forget the extreme bond we made from going to hilarious laughter with this cartoon, to extreme sadness when we learned what happened in America. When I came to America in 2006, I had no idea I'd have so many adventures as an escort. From my New York experience; to driving all over Vermont and seeing Moose outside my window; to crossing the USA and well, just so many quirky adventures. Last year, I thought to myself, "My goodness, my life could be like a Simpson's Cartoon." And that's when I began making my own cartoons based on the character Flora Faun.

Anyway, I just have had many memorable things in my life result from this man's contribution to comedy. He is a good person. A philanthropist also. I wanted to share my stories with you, and remind you all that when there are many people sending love and good intentions towards another human being, it can sometimes make a miracle happen. It doesn't matter what your religious or spiritual beliefs are. We all know that when you want something bad enough, and when many people agree on the same thing, it can manifest a result. So let's all feel right now the appreciation we have for a wonderful amazing person who made us all laugh our asses off, who brought a union of common laughter to all countries of the world, who has helped others in so many ways. And let's just wish with all our hearts that he will beat this horrible affliction and will come out of it stronger then ever.

Thank you for reading this. I really do believe that all of you have good souls and are here because you believe in loving others and bringing happiness to others. And he is one of your own, a writer, creativist, and fun-loving Californian.

Love Cameo Knightley

...that he has led a charmed life and has had success that most others can only dream of.

Matt Groening created The Simpsons as a cartoon short for The Tracey Ullman show.  The legendary James L. Brooks was the producer.

When The Simpsons became an animated sitcom, Sam Simon was brought in and shaped the show to make it what it was to become.  Simon and Groening didn't get along and Simon left after 4 years; this was 20 years ago.

However, Simon negotiated a great deal where he has received over $10 million/year for the past 20 years.  He also still gets a credit on every episode.

Simon was also involved with "Taxi", "Cheers" and "The Drew Carey Show."  Most people are fortunate to have one hit show in their lifetime.

As if show biz success wasn't enough, Simon was married to Playboy Playmate Jami Ferrell and Jennifer Tilly.  Not too shabby, even though Tilly gets half of his yearly Simpson money as part of their divorce.

Having no children, he is leaving all of his money to charities near and dear to him.

So I say to Sam Simon:  "Gut gedavent"

lived so innocuously comfortable down in in OC's very exclusive Corona Del Mar being she has relatively few BIG movie credits as some others.

You may be a king, or a humble street sweeper; but sooner or later we ALL dance with the Reaper.

What a boom to humanity it would be if the corporatocracy and its plutocats could adopt Sam Simon's ethos.

Jennifer Tilly is (or used to be) one hell of a poker player.  Played in a number of tournaments.

It is what they call an "orphaned drug" because it wont get picked up by the major pharmaceutical companies, because it wont make them billions of dollars really. It would be an inexpensive cure for cancer and people could actually afford it. The research to take it to it's next phase needs to be funded. Perhaps he could either volunteer to try the medicine and/or contribute funding for it to reach the stage that it could cure people of cancer. Perhaps he has a friend here reading this? Please pass along the information then for him.

This was a wonderful post.

I recently listened to a great interview Sam did with Comedian Marc Maron.  It was great.

Sam is handling his fate with humor, grace, and humility.  Truly amazing.  As Marc puts it, Sam 'won life' but it doesn't make his situation any less heart breaking.  It's great stuff and worth a listen
