... how do I go online on TER or into a chat room?  I have tried several different ways and none of them work.  Any suggestions or help perhaps? Because I haven't the slightest clue as to if it is just a matter of a browser update or if this is happening to other users as well.

I am not sure what you mean when you asked how to "go online on TER".  But, to go into a chat room, I just click on the Chat tab that is next to Site Reviews.  A window pops up and I'm in a TER lounge chat room.  I don't see a way to access other chat rooms, if there are any.

Maybe you have pop-ups disabled on your browser?
