because the guy can at least know that she's for real and what to expect. Not every goes for the knockout...sometimes they see the service or if the price is low enough, they're perfectly happy. It's when the reviews are inflated and the guy is disappointed that he gets upset.
Does anybody else find it odd that a provider ad will suggest you click the link you to her reviews, even when the reviews are average or just plane crappy???

My undertsanding is that CityVibe and TER have a deal, I guess you could say. So when an ad goes up and the number is matching in TER, then a link to the reviews is added. I think... That is why it is important to help maintain the TER database using problem reports. So ROBs cannot continue to get away with it for those that bother to search reviews.
So, they cannot see ratings or details of reviews. They assume that at least the provider is legit. What is more odd is that TER members with VIP status sometimes do not check for prior reviews and see a provider anyway. I've seen in the TER database a number of ROBs with multiple reviews (of course they've all been RO'd) or providers with consistently low ratings. Either hobbyists don't read the prior reviews or think their experience will be better.
