Do men who are Hobbyist really care about how many clients a provider has? What about a providers rates?  
 
I am not a man, so I cannot begin to think like one.  
 
However, if I was a man I would prefer a provider with a combination of the right amount of experience but also a reasonable amount of seen clients versus seeing any client for any amount of money.  
 
Men say my rates are too high and I screen too tough but I look at it as a way to be cautious, selective and stay in prime condition.    
 
I knew a girl once who's rates kept dropping the longer she did this, however my goal is not to stay around, but enjoy the special and unique times, for what little time I am doing this.    
 
I am curious if you hobbyist feel this the right approach....(without being solely focused on yourselves and costs...lol)

Kim you are the one that knows what you are looking for and set the rules. If you set your rates on the high end it obviously puts your services out of range for many clients. You may feel you provide a unique and special service worthy of your donation and all that have reviewed you agree.  
  Only a guess but I think most clients view the value of cost with experience. Would I like to see you without cost being a factor, absolutely. Could I see two other pretty highly rated providers for the same cost and have twice as much fun?

But in my view and just as a first impression from an advertisement, a girl who makes it hard to be seen, doesn't really want to be seen.  Many hobbyists just don't feel comfortable with giving up personal information for a first date.  To me, our meeting is as the wind from two mountains kissing as they pass in the night only to part and continue anonymously into the moon light.

How many clients you have is really not something I concern myself with.  I really don't see any other "hobbyist" concerning themselves with it either.  We elected to see you because you caught our attention for one reason or another.

As far as the rate, every lady makes that determination for herself.  From my side of the coin, I have to decide whether I think the investment is worth the experience.  

If you are happy with the level of activity you currently experiencing and you're meeting the type of client that you enjoy spending time with, then it's up to you whether you change the rate in either direction.  

I would partly agree with that.  However, it depends, real high volume providers drop down on my priority list.  I don't have much interest in seeing someone who has already seen three or four guys that day.  It's just yuck and I know she is not going to be into it.  I don't have much trouble finding ladies in the 300 to 400 range where I either know I'm the first person they have seen that day or even certain ones I know well I can be the first one they have seen in a few days.  It makes a big difference in how into it they are.  Looks are nice, but I will usually take an 8/9 over a 10/8 any day.  I look at overall rate the same way, if someone is 600 I can do that once or two times with someone at 300.  Usually two times at 300 will win every time.  I don't make many exceptions to that.  Plus if I'm patient, sometimes I can catch a special that 600 rate lady is having for 400 then get myself grandfathered at 400.  Even better!  It really comes down to what works best for a lady.

You've answered your own question.  As a prior Hobbyist stated, Your game, your rules."  Your goal is not to stay around and limit your clients.  So by stringent screening and higher rates, you will limit your number of clients.

My views are probably similar to the average hobbyist of either gender. We look for qualities in both looks and performance that fits our needs, but never underestimate how important that price tag really is. It is often the make or break when it comes down to that final decision. Yes your rates are pretty high but if you are consistently getting clients then it shouldn't be an issue. But you are limiting the number of clients willing to cough up that price tag. As another hobbyist mentioned -   if I could see two other top notch providers for the same cost, why wouldn't I choose that path instead? The importance of a providers past experience (and quantity of reviews) will vary from client to client. For me it's a non-issue unless she has literally dozens of reviews in a fairly short amount of time. That is a deal breaker for me.  
 
If very selective and in depth screening makes a provider feel more comfortable, then more power to her. But like the cost issue it will narrow down considerably the number of clients willing to jump thru those extra hoops.

I don't care how many clients my providers have as long as I'm the only man in the room during the time I  booked.  Anything else is between her and her other customers and doesn't concern me.  

As far as pricing, I think most veterans will agree with me that the only difference between a $1000/hr provider and a $500/hr provider is the EXTRA $500.  I can't think of anything that a $1000 girl can do that a $500 girl can't do just as well, and sometimes better.  

Many young women that are nice looking base their rates on their looks.  However, the hobbyists that prioritize looks are the younger guys around 30 and very few have the financial depth to hobby at the $1000 level.  Older, more experienced guys value service over looks, so they're not going to see the value in the higher rate, and the over 50 guys are the ones with the deeper pockets that can afford to repeat more often with a girl that gives excellent service.  When you're north of 50, almost every girl under 35 looks pretty hot to us, so its the service that distinguishes one provider from another.  A lower rate will translate into two things for you:  Higher overall revenues, and an older but better class of hobbyist.  Just my take from my own experience.  Others may disagree.

If I was better at math I could probably figure out the algorithm for the perfect combination of Price, Service and Looks...   It's rare that they overlap into the perfect experience... usually you have to sacrifice one of the three.

I have found that younger, gorgeous girls charge a lot, but don't have the experience to make it a really great session.  They seem to just be capitalizing on their looks (and more power to them)

And then there are ladies out there, both older and younger, that I don't find attractive at all, but what they'll do and their advertised enthusiasm sounds like it makes up for it. (haven't gone there to find out though)

As for age, I've found in general, that ladies over 30, who've done this for a while are the sweet spot, they know what they like,  what men like and how to deliver on both.  Age doesn't always equal experience though, I've had a few lousy experiences with over 30, and I've met some 18-21 year-olds that just blew me away with their passion. I don't know if it's number of clients, attitude, sex drive or some combination but certainly YMMV.  

Rate-wise though, if every guy out there had $600-$1000, there were wouldn't be backpage or HX or other 'malls' out there.  But there are a lot of guys out there who only want to spend $200, so those sites exist.   A $700 hr rate puts a lady's clientele into another socioeconomic bracket that the $200 crowd, and that's probably because she only wants to meet people from there.  It could also be that she doesn't want to see that many people and prefers quality over quantity.  There's a fine line between enough clients and too many, and every lady has to figure that out.  For me, I'm not interested in seeing someone who sees so many clients they almost need a revolving door, but I also don't have illusions about only 1 a day either.  

As I said, my sweet spot is someone over 35 who has been around long enough to know what she's doing, is still attractive enough to get me interested, and who fits with-in my hobby budget.   Thankfully, I've found a few ladies that fit that description perfectly.

This is a great question but seems as though you have already arrived at your answer.  

1) I wouldn't really care how many client you have but rather how many have you seen that day
2) Rates are always based on supply vs demand and don't think there is a formula to equate that.
3) I fail to see what other girls have done in the past has much to do with your future.

Odd that the title in the subject line is quality vs quality but really it appears the rate and screening seemed to be your focus.
If I make a connection with a provider it is always based on their ability/performance and really nothing to do with their rate.
You have made it clear your goal is not to make any relationships as you only plan to do this for a little amount of time so
the ability of having your client BELIEVE they are the only thing YOU are worried about is the real challenge in my opinion.

I would like to believe that some of the providers that I see aren't seeing lots of guys in a day.   Really, I just want the provider to appear she's enjoying herself and enjoying making me feel good.  If it's real, all the better.  As to how many clients they have in total?  How would I know?  I’ve  have never asked how many clients a provider has, but have occasionally wondered to myself when someone goes UTR.

Most everyone has their budget preferences.  I’ve had some marvelous times at the 250 to 300 level.  I can’t imagine having a better time for more.   Although for 600 - 1000, I would expect a great time with someone who I find attractive in person.  However, you can’t buy chemistry.  If you’re lucky, you can buy exceptional acting if that’s what it takes.

I do enjoy being with someone who knows what they are doing.  I don’t want to pay someone and end up giving a lesson, not that I’m much of a teacher.  Whether they are experienced in their early to mid 20s or over 35, the age doesn’t matter to me.  

Some of the replies along with the OP made me think of when artists show in a gallery.  Let's say that most of the artwork being shown runs between 6K-15K.  Then, there's one piece that's 50K.  The latter is the one that the artist doesn't want to sell, but is obligated to show.  But, if someone is willing to pay 50K, then it’s a sale.

What would be a perfect client for you?
What type of experience would you be able to provide/share with that would make such type of clients miss you and want to keep meeting you?

Your donation range happens to be at a somewhat psychological threshold.  

How do you convey the "can't-miss" expectation of meeting with you, vs. as other said, meeting two separate other companions who might be perceived as 80-90% similar to you and at almost similar type/level of meeting experiences?

If you want to be at the donation level that you want for the long term, then you might need to be at the similarly structured donation ranges, and those companions' social norms/types of activities/touring/presence on social media.

The difference between a $200/hour provider vs. a $500/hour provider is pretty dramatic.  But the difference between a $500/hour provider and a $1000/hour is much smaller.  It is no different than with high end luxury items or services.  

Charge what you want and be happy about it but I can see two gorgeous $500/hour providers instead of one $1000/hour provider.  

I guess I am happier with a nice 6-series and M-series BMW than a Bentley.
