there's a lot of discussion about the over-inflation of reviews, and many make valid points.

i will be the first to admit that i rate high.  but i would posit 2 prongs of explanation for how i go about reviewing a lady.

firstly, the argument that "once in a lifetime should mean literally that, once in a lifetime," pretty well dictates that a guy can only rate one girl a 10 once in his entire hobbying career, if we are to take it literally.

however, i would argue that the phrase "once in a lifetime" is simply this site's nomenclature for the supreme interger of the scale.  in other words, it's just the name of the shop, dearie (bonzo dog band reference).

like most human quanitfiable scales, the ter measurements go from worst to best, numerically designated as 1 to 10 respectively.  ter calls the best, 10 "once in a lifetime."  another site whose name shall not be revealed, calls it "i was blown away."

i personally translate the 10 measurement into my actual life experiences more as "i was blown away."  many, many times in my hobbying career the ladies have "blown me away."  when i find a woman who takes time to connect to my rhythms, attend to my specific desires and flatter my ego, ie, make me feel as if she is enjoying my company as much as i am enjoying hers, she blows me away.

so if ter insists that a 10 is "once in a lifetime," then i have seen many, many ladies who are "once in a lifetime."  if ter said a 10 was "ello, ello, what's all this then, bob's yer uncle" then i have seen many ladies who are "ello ello what's all this then bob's yer uncle." (monty python reference)  

it's just a word designation for the numerical score.

but that brings me to my second point, that of subjectivity.  i may rate high, probably too high for purists, but if you look, the ladies i rate highly are usually already in the top tier of providers.  so i do my homework, and find women i think i will like, and 9 out of 10 times i'm right.  is it wrong for me to rate a fantastic experience, one i worked hard to find and create, as fantastic?  i think not.

i am always amazed at how different guys can see the same numbers on the scale as meaning entirely different things.  personally if i see a 7 in performance in a review, i assume it was just "meh, ok."  but many times i'll read the review, it will be a rave about the lady, ending with a "i'll definitely repeat."  because a 7 on ter is labled as "hot time."  and who doesn't want a hot time?

i recently saw a 6 for performance on a review that simply raved about the girl (don't remember who, else i would link to it, sorry).  if i only looked at the numbers, i would pass the girl by.  but i like to read the best and the worst reviews a lady has, as well as a few others, to get a handle on what kind of experience i could expect.  

and, like the olympic judges, i tend to throw out the high and low scores.  subjectivity, after all, is in the eye of the beholder.

i will admit that i usually write my reviews a day or two after my sessions; when i am still basking in the excitement of a good time.  so, i usually give a higher score.  i will admit that if i could go back and rewrite (or at least re-score) some reviews, after experiencing other ladies, i might not be so generous.  but you express what you're feeling at the time, and most times, because i've done my homework, i wind up feeling like, ello ello, what's all this then, bob's yer uncle!

ok i know this is veering into tl;dr territory, but let me say one more thing.  i think a lot of times guys are assuming the a higher rate card guarantees better service, especially in la.  i did too, for a long time.  then i realized that what a higher rate guarantees is that not every tom dick and dickhead will try to get with the girl;  it's more of a gate-keeping device to keep out the cheap guys who probably are more trouble than they are worth.  

do you always get what you pay for?  no.  but as judge milan says, the cheap comes out expensive.

in conclusion, i would urge everyone to go ahead and be honest but respectful in their reviews.  and above all, stay safe!

calls it "ONE in a lifetime."  Do your due diligence and there will be a lot of one in a lifetime ladies especially with all the talent in LA.  So there maybe one of many but not necessarily "once."  And agree with the subjectivity of what you wrote.

We're now going too have an army of 'Sevens' vociferously petitioning clients personally as well as TER that their "Unique" beauty as well as performance is a "Once in a lifetime" experience.  

  I'm not busting your horns on your personal interpretation of "Once in a lifetime"; but it is painfully obvious that there is a shitload of subcutaneous coercion, manipulations, and possibly even extortion happening in the 9.0 and above aggregate demographic. And just as sure as a lady with a 9.5 aggregate will blow the speaker out of a hobbyists cell phone raging at his recent 8 - 9 score; so too do competitors occasionally 'plant' a review simply to sabotage.

  IMO the "Appearance" scoring should have been dropped by TER 13 years ago, or modified to reflect the fidelity of the provider's photographs rather than a wholly subjective estimate of her beauty.  

   Pontificate and split hairs over phraseologies all you want. The 1 to 10 scoring has been a source of pain, perniciousness, and profit since review #1 was written. And the addition of the compiled, computed, constantly updated aggregate has only served to increase the problems as well as the prices

to be honest with you, i won't argue about the "appearance" category.

i'm in show business, and practically every day i see women who are truly, truly beautiful.  in fact once i met a provider for coffee to set a date, then immediately went to a meeting on the lot.  i was immediately struck by how much more "beautiful" the everyday women in show biz hold themselves.

i agree, the 9's and 10's in appearance in the hobby really aren't 9's and 10's compared to models, actresses, etc.  but there again i'm assuming guys are grading within the hobby...is this girl a 10 among scarlet johansen and jennifer lawrence and halley berry?  no.  is she a 10 among the other girls the guys have seen?  maybe not.  was she a 10 at the moment he spilled his cup?  probably.

again, the way i see it, it's all subjective.

granted, the ladies should take what scores they get without coersion and whining, in a perfect world.  but in a perfect world, there wouldn't be guys who like to knock em down a peg, and give them a 7 or 8 just because they can.

in the end, it's what you think, and if you're honest about it, we're all better off.

However, one could argue that "Once in a lifetime" could mean you will never see that provider again. This may end up in the highest court in the land. Now I have never given a 10-10. I wonder if this will hurt my chances with the highest rated ladies. I was hoping to make one my XMAS present to myself. I am starting to feel that TenTenitis acting up in my drawers. No bad inferences to anyone intended.

I guess here is where I struggle - if the scale is 1-10 of ladies within the hobby I can see how more might attain a 10 - but I would still think this would only be ~10% of the ladies.  However - this implies there should be ~10% of 1's as well (not to mention 2's and 3's) which I don't think we ever see.  Personally, my scale is based on all ladies, thus attaining a 10 is more difficult from me because as BPJ says outside of the hobby there are some very beautiful women.  But I also would not venture much below 6 in all likelihood because let's face it outside of the hobby there are many women that are let's say "less attractive" than 90+% of the ladies in the hobby.  But that is just my opinion.

For good or ill the wording of the rating doesn't mean all that much to me, what matters to me is that the community as a whole has decided that a 10 doesn't really mean Venus has entered the building but rather something less than that.  

I understand that some folk have decided to start adhering to a stricter standard, but IMHO this just means some poor woman is going to be graded lower through no fault of their own, but rather by someone's personal belief system.  What's more to the point for me at least, is that it's more important that the grading be done in a fair consistent way than that it holds to a arbitrary standard.  

Would I rather that the system meant that 10s were all Megan Fox with an insane sex drive and skills to match?  you betcha.  

Am I going to screw over someone's business (someone who trusted me and gave me a tremendous experience to boot) in my quest to make everyone else conform to that system?  No.

Even if I didn't care about the lady who just gave me that experience do I think anything less than a total overhaul of the system would cause the change people are talking about?  I'd be really surprised if the minority can affect the majority in that way.

Good thought! I have given out only 1 or 2 10's and I did not commit suicide! I compare it to the lady who charges 1000+ for access to her body. There is no way its any better than a lady for a lot less. The difference is in her attitude some ladies can make you feel like you are a king with out you knowing. It is the skill of the actress and combined with doing all the things you like in a way you like. it deserves a 10.  

You have to realize that she does not know what you like or how you like it so the odds of her knowing these things and doing these things is rare about a 1 in a lifetime chance

I had a literature professor that was obsesses with James Joyce and believed that Finnagan's Wake was a once in a lifetime experience that could only be truly understood as such if read the year before you died.

Maybe it should be reclassified to "As  good as it can get for me".
That would show the subjectivity as well as making it a reasonable

A lady can be a once in a life time, or an experience a one in a life time, until I experience someone even better. The more often that happens, the more I like it. Theoretically, that could lead to a lot of 10's.  

Scores get inflated for a variety of reasons and since most hobbyists are basically nice guys they don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. However, privately they will almost always tell you the truth

I'm at the upper, though not the highest range on scoring. And, my scores seem to be much in line with many of the more prolific hobbyists. Like you, I do careful research, looking at the reviews of several of the guy who seem to write good descriptive reviews, and seem fairly consistent in their scoring. My scoring usually lines up closely with theirs. Though the system is not perfect, I've found it to be a very useful research tool.

before i see someone new, i pm several guys who have reviewed her.

only a couple times has that lead me to a mistaken view of whom i was about to see, and even then it was nothing bad, just a miscalculation in appearance value (guys said 10 when i thought 8...but that goes back to my original point).

more often than not pm's either convince me there's something not in the reviews that would give me pause, so i don't see her, or the pm's convince me that my choice was 100% correct.

in one case, the lady took offense that i was asking previous clients about her, and she refused to date me!  lol!  which, now, i take as a good thing, because obvious there was something off about our chemistry that would have lead to disappointments on both sides!

I give no real difference between an 8 and a 10.  It just means it's worth exploring further.

You have to index the reviews against the reviewer.  A guy who gives all 10/10s tends to overrate, in my opinion, and a girl who gets all 10/10s either has a bunch of fanboys or white knights, or is doing something way off the menu (you can guess what that might be).  That's fine...no problem with whatever goes on between a provider and her client.

Yep.  And don't get me started about the clients who leave all 10/10s.  These are the same ones who fall in love with the providers.
