I have Verizon service and am happy with them.  But Sprint now offers unlimited talk, text, data for $50 less than Verizon....However, when I had Sprint 10 years ago the reception and service was terrible. Saving $50 per month is tempting but not if Sprint is as bad as they used to be.  I'm wondering if there are any Sprint users here and what kind of experience they've had.  I live in NY but come out to LA a lot, so reception and service there is important to me.

I have heard the opposite. Sprint sucks in LA. Alot of dropped calls!

I have Verizon and ATT both are wonderful for me in LA

If you want reliability and better reception all the item, stay with what you have.

In the So Cal basin, verizon has a better network read that 'more cell towers'.  I had Sprint for a long time and dropped calls are just how it is.  There is strong competition over where cell towers can be located between cell providers.

Have relatives and business associates at most of the cell providers.  Hear lots of Engineer speak about what goes on.    Like any business 'the cell providers are competing for your dollars' there is what they say and there is the customer experience(reality).
