Thanks for the excellent details on this rip- off. As I said in another posting, Backpage is a crapshoot with some lucky results, but with a preponderance of ROB's. Also when the pictures look too good to be true you have to wonder why she's advertising on a second tier website like Backpage. Sorry you had the experience you did, but learn from it. Also, be thankful that her pimp/driver wasn't more physical towards you. I'm been a member of this board for a long time, and there have been a number of horror stories detailing threats, shakedowns and even worse. You're right in suggesting you go with reviewed providers, but even more important be cautious with ads that seem too good to be true. In this case, hot pics, no reviews, able to be there in 1/2 hour- it all adds up to a ripoff. Take care. Ciao!

Was on business in Long Beach, and was scammed on an outcall to hotel. Formal review forthcoming.

When you call woman will state that:
- outcall only
- 200/hr, 300/2 hrs
- she can be there in less than 1/2 hr
- she needs hotel room#/name so she can call to verify location, and because she likes to be discreet when arriving.
She will then call to make sure you are in your room.
She will show up at hotel room, be pleasant, collect $$, go to bathroom. Then she will text (her "security"), then go on about that if I'm not comfortable I can "cancel" and get "refund". When I bring up services, she (correctly) states that nowhere in her ad does she promise FS. Some convo, lots of stalling and texting on her part - I knew it was going downhill fast. I finally have enough of her endless texting and stalling and tell her I do want to  "cancel". She then runs out of the room, and hands her pimp, who happens to now be right outside my hotel room, the money. I ask for money back, and he says he has to clear it with 'management' first and that I need to come downstairs/outside. Right. Considering that I am half-dressed, and that I draw the short stick in any attempt to get money back since they know where I am staying, this is where i cut my losses.

How to avoid:
- go with reviewed providers!!!
- if you do outcall insist on meeting in hotel lobby

Note: the fact that similar ads are replicated on other escort sites with same pictures and phone numbers doe NOT legitimize the ad - there are many non-source escort sites that will simply get their 'listings" by copying from BP and CV.

Yes, TER reviewed helps, but always check out the reviewers as well.

The ironic thing is that I did a tineye search - but only on the other picture...
