Hi:

I'll be staying in Universal City for a few days, and don't know if my search is limited to only the San Fernando Valley, or can I cast a wider net?  I know about your traffic problems, so I was wondering if I just search for "Los Angeles" or only the SFV?

Thanks a lot.

The closest areas to U.C. are Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Burbank and Hollywood. All are short drives. eom

If you look on the map, Universal City is right there in the zone that separates the San Fernando Valley, Hollywood, and Downtown Los Angeles, essentially via the Hollywood Freeway US 101 and the Highland Avenue off ramp 2 hops down.

Look in the SFV areas - Studio City Burbank Sherman Oks
Hollywood / even West Hollywood is only 20 minutes in routine traffic.
Downtown LA is realistic, LAX is not.

The girl at the hotel bar who looks like the hottie extra you saw on Glee last week... just might be the hottie you saw on Glee last week:

Never understood the tito fascination.  They basically deep fry their tacos... ugh.

If you don't mind subways- at the base of the hill is the universal subway station.  The next stop south is hollywood and it'll take you along downtown to union station.  Easy on, off, and no traffic and no outrageous parking costs.  $1.50 each way.  You can use google maps to get your directions.  Just be aware as they don't run 24 hours a day.

We're kinda used to the traffic, so no problem.

I'm punctual.:) And fyi, just minutes from Universal City.
