One of my favorite things to do. Try the one in Catalina Island first. It's very safe (redundant safety lines) and won't make you pee yourself like some of the others would for a Newbie, but still very fast. Longest run is a quarter mile.
If you want a bigger rush, try skull canyon in South Corona along the 15 freeway. Be aware you have to hike up a good-sized hill to get to the start. On Catalina they take you up in a shuttle bus. Both of these have websites.
I've only done 12 things on the list. The other 16 I haven't done and of those 16 there are 10 things that I will probably not ever do. I know... booooring! :P

To this day you can still see the entry and exit wound on my poor "homeboy". To me, I'm pierced....and scarred for life...lol
