She later told me that she didn't believe that I was female and wanted to visually screen me before letting me in. Made sense. In a hotel sitch maybe the call gives her a chance to sneak a peek before replying and giving out her room number.

They sure can if their apartment happens to face the street, lol. That's the exact circumstance that happened to me 😂

I remember a couple of providers using this tactic. They were very specific about how to approach their building. It was pretty clear they wanted a bird's eye view of the possible hunchback approaching.

We have our reasons & I'm sorry but that's all I can say  Well, I can also tell you it's generally nothing about judging his physical looks/ appearance as such.
