CLARENCE THOMAS is pushing for this?  That's like Nixon or Reagan pushing for it.  I had to run a drug test on myself to make sure I wasn't smoking something.  But all shock aside, that IS good news.  Let's hope it signals a trend of more good news out of the current administration.

Given the cash nature of our enterprise, civil forfeiture can be a problem.

This would not apply to many here vs the State RICO laws.  One companion had to buy the equity back for like $50k in her home when seized since used for incall and another lost $20k cash she had just gotten from the bank to pay for a car.  

In both cases, prostitution charges were dropped but the RICO law still applies since the burden of proof is on you to show the property was not from a criminal activity - even if all criminal charges dropped.  One of the gals talked to attorney's who said it wasn't worth fighting since more likely would lose as well as the details in the public record.
